Given the design and construction of current WRC cars a service every leg should be available as to do otherwise is short-changing the fans. If the manufacturers are told that midday service won't be available for all rallies they can 'beef up' accordingly for the season.Quote:

Current cars are very durable and fully able to do full day without service. It's not like in the past when reliability issues were much bigger problem even with service after every stage. No mid-day service is a problem mainly for those who damage the car by going off etc.Quote:

I'm not Ogier fan, really not, but it must be admitted : he is the Master. Like it or not.....the Quninpohja stage showed it again....
Some disappointments so far : Mikkelsen, Sordo and Neuville.
Kubica: SS2 (Sensor failure), SS3 (No handbrake, puncture), SS4 (Alternator issue) :(
Why did Kubica drove with punctured tire from previous stage? Couldn't they change the wheel?
Not the best time for Paddon in Ounhinohja but still going to the top4 spots again, and way better than his teammates.
I think Julian Porter was commenting that he had a flat in the boot of the car. Now way he was +24 through Ouninpohja with a puncture.Quote:

Quite a lot of carnage already, which is disappointing. Only Latvala and Ogier left for the win.

Shame they don't have midday service, the fact they don't have it is hampering chances for anyone who isn't Ogier to win.
About Kubica alternator problem, some cable broke/was cut, they fixed it with cable tie, but they fear it'll brake again after jumps.
Also, end of the day for Andreas.
Tidemand was off on Ouninpohja as well.

It was a sensor issue for Kubica on SS2 which was rectified. Back to 4WD but a catalogue of other problems. Meeke says the car feels strange but hasn't been able to locate the issue. Hopefully he can get some advice at the tyre change area.Quote:
