It's not that special. The city stage requires no knowledge of local conditions etc. It's quite common phenomena that foreign drivers are very fast on such stages but don't keep the pace on the real stages. Those city stages are usually purely about driving skills but in the real stages it's more about pacenotes, experience etc.Quote:

Yes, I would say that city stages are quite popular here. A few years ago nearly each rally in Poland had its own city stage. Not everybody likes them, but they are good for the publicity of rally sport.Quote:

I have to say that I don't wish it at all. This one in Ireland was even worst than others, with all that big ballons all over the place. Ireland has some of the most beautiful landscapes (and rally roads) in the world and the only live coverage was with green ballons in the middle of the street.Quote:
