Rallycross is good to spend an hour in the day off live on TV, if there's no Formula1 or football derby. Why do you put so much pressure and behave like catholics in middle ages?!

BelgiumRX track will have some modifications on the track layout. The Hockenhein track is also defined.

Thanks. That's known, merely Capito's plan. Still don't catch the drugs thing.
Every motorsport has it's gentleman drivers, Ken Block is simply that, but he has a enormous contribution to the rally sport PR and drags many new fans into the sport. Getting new enthusiast is important to any sport, as wel as ours. I don't see the hate at for this man all... Did he kill someone, is he irritant?
Tanner Foust is a very good -professional- driver, big personality as well, won races in Europe.
Thats the problem.... the crowd the chinless, sklless doggy attracts is a bunch of low lifes who consider these gymhkana stuff he practises 10000 times to get 1 corner right are rallying or consider that it takes rally skills to do them... giu posted truck racing for christs skae... TRUCK RACING guys... TRUCK RACING.... TRUCK FREAKING RACIIIIING....
and since that crowd is of substantial proportion they will eventually influence the sport as well..... They are the plague...
To be clear on this subject; there is no competition between rally and rallycrossrx. No cannabalism. The cars look the same but technically completely different. Onther differences; you all know them. Only big advantage of rallycrossrx is TV, much easier, one location, cheaper and therefore better conmercial return of sponsors; That's the reason some rally manufacturers want similar event TV on one big finale, but you can't introduce a tennis racket in a soccer game.
Possibly..long term cocaine abuse always leads to psychosis... it could also be mere alcoholism. Or a chemical imbalance in the brain leading to delusions of grandeur and mistaking the indigestion from last nights pizza with too many anchovies for some sort of brilliance, you know much like what Mr Personality Naught suffers from to our collective dismay..
Who can say? I suggest a vivisection.
I agree. Unfortunately one of the ones that went from rallying to rallyx is NOT, who now seems intent on winding up all the rallyx fans having alienated most of the rally fans on the forum. It amazes me that he doesn't have a permanent ban, given how often he resorts to personal insults and petty name calling.
GAC announced as the logistic partner for 2015 RallyX

World Rallycross Championship featured on tonight's episode of BBC Top Gear. The special feature, which was filmed at Britain’s Lydden Hill race circuit late last year, also stars US-based Top Gear presenter Tanner Foust who is the first American to have won a round of World RX. Several other World RX drivers also appear on Top Gear.

Eddie I'm reading here only good comments about tonight's episode. Here in south america we'll have to wait a little to watch the show. Maybe tomorrow after aired in US some 'muricans upload the episode on Youtube or something. Cant wait. Im happy cuz they filmed with JRM's new BMW Mini (Riku Tahko driving). A good hint about the new team/driver for the 2015 season.
Nope... tnx Europeans

It was the usual over-edited Top Gear affair, but still great to see rallycross get such positive praise on there again.
Incredibly envious of James May getting to drive a Supercar!
It would have been seen by more people in one short 10m segment than a whole season of World RX. The sport would be perfect for 'normal' TV. The reaction on Twitter was one of surprise at how good the sport was.
Yeah. I'm glad Top Gear have given top level rallycross as positive coverage as they did clubman rallycross a couple of years ago.
The TV package for European/World Rallycross has vastly improved over the last couple of years (since it was rebranded RallycrossRX). Last years Livestreams were really good.
Roll on May, can't wait to get to Mettet and Lydden!
I quite enjoyed it but I think they could've shown much more action, plus they didnt need Clarkson & Hammond messing about as 'spotters'...
Any publicity is good publicity though. :)
Agreed! Would have been nice if they'd actually shown the final as well.
"Petter Soldber won the topgear race. Tanner was second, Bakkerud third."
haha... I doubt they raced a real second semi final and the final.
Not on the show? Save some money
Yeah, true. I did suspect that they didn't bother, but then there was a post with a short video from the podium on the official Petter Solberg Facebook page, so I thought that perhaps a final did happen.
Of course it may be that the footage from the final was used elsewhere in the program, there was obviously a lot of editing in the feature (hence why there were 7 different cars in the 6 car Semi Final!).
Top Gear is just a staged show directed towards lower life forms... it should not be taken seriously.
everything is staged on that farce...
I enjoyed the first few episodes some years back when the team of hammond/may joined... but then it got repetitive... it is more like a comedy show for autistic kids who like the same things over and over.
Yes... TELEVISION right?
I bet those bumps and even Hansen's crash were all scripted before haha
But it worked! Lots of good comments and a big chance of getting new casual fans and even more! RX scoring more points
Blimey, you're a bundle of laughs, aren't you N.O.T?
I'm sure a lot of that feature was scripted for TV, or rather the actual days events were heavily edited to make the program they wanted.
I know Lydden well and a number of those shots (particularly those round the joker merge) wouldn't have been possible during race conditions. I also seriously doubt they'd have let Hammond and Clarkson distract May so much when he was driving a £250K+ rallycross car.
A little more care during the editing stage would have been nice but, considering the bigger picture, it was another extremely positive commentary on rallycross in mainstream media.
As for Top Gear I don't think there is any doubt that it isn't as fresh or entertaining as it once was, but it still has its moments and its head and shoulders above most of the other crap on TV.
PS: May's face when Foust first launched the car looked quite pretty genuine!
At least we got to see the RX feature this week before the show got pulled following Clarkson's fracas with a producer !!
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v...type=2&theater
 I know! Having waited two months for the rallycross feature, I'd have pretty peeved if they had cancelled it the week the feature was due to air!
According to a lot of news reports the Clarkson incident actually happened last week, but was only reported this Monday. Good thing they didn't report it at the time or the rallycross episode would have been canned!
When Clarkson has some more time available now he could join this forum, to make it more spicy...Or maybe he already subscribed years ago and we know him...
JRM RX MINI ... are they entering the RX World Championship ?

The exact JRM rallycross schedule for 2015 is unknown at the moment. JRM confirmed they had bought the entire MINI Countryman project from Prodrive late last year...
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117240
...and they recruited another ex-Prodrive engineer this week...
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117979
...but they still haven't announced their competition plans for 2015.
Riku Tahko seems a likely candidate for a drive this year, I'm also wondering if Liam Doran might follow the MINI's.
Its not official yet but they will be running the WorldRX this year!
I understood that Tahko and Chicherit are the drivers. Nothing official too, but there was a few twitter/intagram talks between them, media and fans... I wouldnt be surprised if they race the XGames race too.
Ah yes, I was forgetting Chicherit! A full World Championship is a serious undertaking, I wonder if they will just do select rounds this year in preparation for a full season next year? Still JRM are an accomplished team (and it seems like they have some serious talent to support the MINI's), so hopefully they will just take the plunge and go for a full season.
The official launch for the World Championship is next month (13th April), so hopefully all the teams we are are waiting to hear about will announce their plans between now and then.
a second VW team is joining WorldRX

I couldn't help but wonder before I clicked " whose son is suddenly the next big talent that 'deserves' a works ride?"
After big search for the next best driver the answer is
Kristofersson's son I see.
Maybe there should be a class exclusively for sons of formerly fast people.
Just so we know what the main qualifications are...
