Kuipers also a good start for him
The rain stopped Ford drivers to battle for Rally Germany.
After the fantastic start of Ford driver Jari Matti Latvala follow the disappointment on stage two. Ford drivers have again problems with the strategy. The weather conditions changes but the Ford has no idea at the beginning of the race. On the second stage Grafschaft Veldenz 1 - 22.47 km the ford drivers loses 39.1 and 32.5 seconds by the new leader Sebastien Ogier with Citroen DS3 WRC. Second place is for the world champion Sebastien Loeb at +1.3 sec. Third place for Hirvonen, forth for Latvala, fifth is Sordo with MINI at +50.2 and sixth is K. Meeke at +59.9.
Interesting strategy by Citroen. Obviously it works though!
All the front runners will probably use softs for SS3 as they can change them at the remote refuel.
Are you sure? Only what they have in the boot. No extra tyres allowed.Quote:

But, which was the choose for Ford and Citröen at the beginning of the rally??? And at the remote refuel, you can change all the tyres??Quote:

fastest time by B.Reeves SS1
Yes, just remote fuel, nothing else.Quote:

Hello noel157, which was the tyres chosed by FORD and CITROEN at the beginning? Why the rain don´t affected to Ogier on SS2?Quote:

Woo hoo Tanak 14.5 secs faster than Juho and same time as Meeke -Game on in SWRC
hmmm ford self destructing as usual....go the minis
A Mini in the podium, please.
Ford is completely falling apart as a team.
Incredible, Citroen is totally safe after only two stages. Mikko having some small problems with rear rollbar and JML having a puncture. Super-short-lived joy after SS1...
Is it too much to hope for a mutually destructive Sebfest!!Quote:

Puncture nr 1 goes for ... Latvala!
The rain was probably the best part of 1hr ago. The road could be dry by now.
Ostberg?
Colin about Tänak after SS2 time: "This guy is a loonie" :D
Ford on hard compound because they thought it would stay dry, Citroen on soft because they thought it would be wet, or mostly wet. It was wet after the first 6 km or so on SS2 so Fords tyres went from slightly warm to cold and Citroen's soft tyres stayed warm(ish) and retained grip.Quote:

In changeable conditions why not split strategy?? Then you have both bases covered......Skoda suffered in Monte with no split strategy, now Ford repeat the mistake......
can i please have a briefiend of what happened to the ford kiddies ??? did they just crack under pressure ?? did a storm broke when they were on ???
Tanak proved me right... hope WV watches...he does not deserve to be a sponsor for the disgrace of the sport....
Wrong tyre choice on wet tarmac, and then puncture for Latvala.Quote:

Solberg losing to the minis....
it turned to s##t as usual, wrong tyre choice, puncture for JML, suspected broken rear anti roll bar for Mikko ,just the usual, ford shooting them selves in the foot again.......
3 stages so far, 3 leaders in WRC Rally Germany.
After the third last stage to the service park the new rally leader is called Sebastien Loeb. Second place for S. Ogier at +4.4 seconds. Third place for Mikko Hirvonen at +35.2 seconds. Forth place is for the MINI driver Daniel Sordo +55.6. Fifth place for K. Meeke with MINI at +1:10.5. Sixth place for the privateer Peter Solberg with Citroen who has a small problem on stage two is at +1:16.8 sec.
The disaster for Latvala continues after the losing of his lead on stage three he has a puncture. That cost another 1:23 lost in stage 3 and finally end in overall so far seventh at + 2:00.8.
So far during the afternoon is expecting dry conditions.
SS3 Moselland 1 2010, Loeb 12:06.8 Sordo +1,5, 2011 (wet?) Loeb 12:15.1 Sordo +6,7
Mini is impressive methinks..
So in SWRC Juho has now after SS3 a comfortable lead.
Anyone heard about Prokop? Some rumor he had a big crash. Can someone confirm?
so what happened to Reeves in academy, after stage 1 showing dead last???????
