Key word is likely. When asked, Conor said that was the first he had heard of it at the meeting.Quote:

I think we can consider Viso returning KV Confirmed now. I checked my twitter feed this morning and saw this.

Also Newman Haas tweeted they're going back to Seabring for another test for Hinchcliffe. So the deal's most likely done now and they're just waiting for the right opportunity to announce.
Some say 26 cars...seems to be a stretch since there are some teams that still need to get funding. For the first few races, I think we shall see 21-24 cars, unless a lot of drivers suddenly become flush with cash.

I forgot about Gonzalez, and it was almost seven with Tomas Enge slated to drive the season final at Fontana, before the race was canceled due to the so cal wildfires fires.Quote:

interesting in the interview w/Mikey that he says "...Marco did most of the setups, and then Ryan". i wonder if this is really true, or if he's trying to make minimize the loss of Kanaan. I was always under thr impression that TK did the lion's share of the setup work.

The big problem with AA now, is that Marco, Danicker and RHR are not known for knowing how to setup a car. That Soucek boy better be good at that.
Ryan knows how to set up a car. Neither of the teams he won with in CART/Champ Car were powerhouses.
True neither of teams he won with in CC were powerhouses but the race he won at Milwaukee was the same car and team that dominated the prior year with Dominguez. I wouldn't give RHR any credit for the set-up there. The other W came on a good gamble in wet/dry conditions. In my opinion, RHR is certainly an above average driver...but we have lots and lots of those.Quote:

I would think so jwhite. Snapple had been rumored as one of the companies looking at RHR's car.
The Dr Pepper Snapple Group is a long-time Andretti Autosport sponsor through its Venom Energy brand. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Seriously, Johansson American Spirit Racing was a powerhouse?Quote:

I will grant you at Milwaukee both Sebass and PT were sidelined during the race?
IIRC, RHR dominated the entire race, leading all 250 laps- from the pole no less!Quote:

Good Job Keith. This is how you build a team, talented marketable driver + Results = sponsorship.

Snapple/Dr. Pepper came abuot via the 7-11 deal. 7-11 will still be an associate sponsor for AA, so it would seem that Snapple/Dr. Pepper would also remain associate sponsors. They might also be primary for some races, as they have been in the past, but not primary sponsors as had been incorrectly rumored late last year.Quote:
