Thanks to Ryder25 and his database editor tool, for making It possible.

Anyone had any trouble with the occasional pace note not being read out, especially after pausing?

Article + screenshots look promising. Let's hope It's as challenging and difficult as senior designer claims.

Monte Carlo!!!!!!!!!

Where's all the slow, technical stuff? Seems to be exclusively flat out!?
I think Alan goes flat out, but he's good In racing games.
Is that him who is nearly always at the top of the times online?? Tag of vvv (something like that??)???Quote:

Since when did these games have anything to do with reality? The sole purpose of the DiRT (why the hell is the i lower case btw????) series of games is to flatter the person with the controller in their hand.Quote:

Bloody hell Codemasters, that is nothing like a Monte stage, infact its more of a Finland stage on Tarmac!
Yet the first CM game had the Monte on, and there were great stages on it - and that was back in 1998!!Quote:

Those Monte stages in Dirt 3 wouldn't even be allowed in the real world due to too high average speed i think...
And even then the car in those videos struggles to get out of 4th gear! I even noticed that when you put the gear ratios very short it dosnt just close them up, it takes out 6th gear lolQuote:

Looks pretty decent to me! And there Is some obvious change of grip from melted snow to dry asphalt.
Judging from that actual gameplay video of course!

Finally some narrow roads!!! :D
Ive just downloaded the track pack and there is a big difference between the slush and the dry tarmac and the sense of speed in the narrow sections is great! Will play a bit more and report back!Quote:

Ouch!!!! :p
Epic!!! That's the first word comes to my mind regarding Monte!
Sunning panoramic views, fantastic change of grip (from slush to dry tarmac),
narrow rally roads, tight hairpins, challenging fog. This DLC has It all!
Just wish-like most of you- stages were longer.
I think CM are returning back to rally In the next game.
Can't wait to play it although stages could've been much longer...waiting for PSN now :D
Interesting and challenging stages, but far too much overlapping which makes the stages boring after 15 minutes. I think about 5/8 stages end at the same spot. However, some parts of the stages are really narrow and fun to drive, but again I find the hairpins too open. Is it worth 59 NOK? I´m not sure.
Those stages are the most beautifull stages I've ever played in a rally game...well worth the money
Really good surface changes from ice to dry tarmac. It's quite challenging in a RWD car like the Escort or Kadette, but then I found it even trickier when I tried it in a more powerful 4WD car. Well worth the money. :)
Although I did notice a bug last night. I hit a snow bank which sent me crashing towards the ground nose first, where the car then disappeared below the surface of the road....
The Monte stages in the dark, in a group B RS200 are amazing fun!
Such a shame there isnt more variation in stages but still, I was quite wrong in my opinion on those vids.
Anyone know what the next DC pack is?
Next DLC, coming upnext week If I'm not wrong.
(Get ready for Lancia Stratos pino :D )
Mud & Guts DLC Car Pack
Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 (Group B Rally Class)
Citroen C4 4x4 T16 (Rallycross Class)
Ford Mustang GT (Modern Trailblazer Class)
Saturn Sky (Gymkhana Class)
Lancia Stratos (70's Rally Class)
Ooh looking forward to the Stratos! I heard Steve Perez's at Ypres at the weekend and that was one of the sweetest noises ever :D
Was he giving it beans? My only complaint is that he doesn't always opening the taps like you want him too, although from the few times I've been on the RAC it does seem like he's getting happier with driving it quickly. I suppose when you come from a 4 wheel drive, carefully balanced car it can be a bit of a change.Quote:

It was full beans mate! He was running a noisier exhaust as it was a national event and you could hear it for ages on the stage and when we saw him on a road section. Shame the car is now looking a bit bent now!Quote:
