Not officialy confirmed but estonian live blog says it a new engine not the old one out, one can hope they brought it for spare parts but doubt it

No, they took old one out to investigate. But it still probably is an engine change.
By shakedown interviews it seems to be rally which most of drivers really like. It's not survival rally for cars, it's drivers rally.
And Tänak's engine problem - it's a HUGE disappointment. We can make jokes towards M-Sport, but there is nothing to be happy about here (even you are Toyota or Hyuindai fan). A lot of effort has been put to make things happen, and it has no huge step-back or even may stop here. Feel sorry for everyone involved. It's not good for the sport and competition, not for this rally or for the title fight in general.

Someone Shared in Estonian Rally fans facebook chat, that someone who is at service park heard that a spark plug was dancing around in the cilinder, and that is what made this mess, another 5 buck error makes such a mess if its true
5 min penalty confirmed

What a pity for Ott and for the fans
I’m so used to it that it doesnt even bother me.
But oh man I feel for Ott. So much preparations for his Home rally and then the car just gives up after 4kms.
