How much can road sweeping affect Ogier and other front-runners in Mexico?
i looked at it the other day and not much based on last years stage times and results. Ogier was still the leader after day1, Latvala second with 13 secs behind and Ostberg third with 30 secs behind. They started 1st, 4th and 5th on the road.
Beacuse I remember Ogier moaning before Mexico'15 being the hardest to be first on the road. Obviously stage times didn't show it, but was it because Ogier's brilliant driving or not as bad roads. Anyway now Latvala will start at the end of top10 so if he is in good mindset he could challenge fot the win.
Lol. Ogier moans every rally that IT is the hardest to be first on the road.
To give him some credit, it seemed to me that he was genuinely enjoying the closer competition of Meeke pushing him at Monte and Paddon at Sweden.
I think part of the problem is the wrc media people rabbiting on about it whenever conditions disadvantage him, but they barely even mention when its the other way around (which seems to happen just as often) and he gains from road position.

Interesting to see Hanninen and Lindstrom here on the recce for Mexico. I don't think we have to guess too much who that is for....#WRC
Hanninen ok, but why Lindstrom ??
Flop Flop Flop and good riddance.
