With Prodrive supposedly not registering for the IRC, will be interesting to see if / how much TV coverage the Sordo entry gets. Assuming he's running well of course.
In the past non-registered cars (Snijers in Ypres for example) have been ignored, but wonder what a high profile like Sordo will do to that attitude.
It is still over a week to the start of Corsica so sense may yet prevail.
If I remember correctly, Snijers was in a car that was at that time not allowed in IRC, the 1.6T cars are only allowed since this season. This is comparable to the GT cars of the Spanish championship drivers on Canaria. Sordo will "only" be in a car from a not registered manufacturer.Quote:

The driver/sponsors/manufacturers know the rules before the start. IRC is a commercial championship which costs money to run; paying the registration fee and competing is just another way of promoting your product.
That question You should address to sporting stewards of the meeting. The highest championship held in Ypres was ERC and all stewards were high FIA officials which are present in ERC events (unlike in IRC only events).
