Aldi PC's (Medion) are woefully bad. Yes the specs will look quite good but it will be noisy, cheaply made and won't have as good a warranty as one you get built from parts. I'd reccomend a Dell over a Medion any day of the week :)Quote:

I've cancelled my steering wheel cos RBR is crashing a lot at the moment and I can't figure out why, tried reinstalling etc  I can't complete a stage before it closes itself :bigcry:
My dad has had a Medion for a couple of years. Nothing wrong with it.Quote:

What graphics settings are you running and what card? I know that RBR has an issue with ATI cards when you run the game on "high" graphics settings. I used to always get crashes and hanging until I dropped it down to the lower graphics setting. There really isn't all that much difference in looks so its no great loss. Try that first.Quote:

Nope, not an expert at all, nor do I work in the IT industry. I am simply trying to give a balanced view as a consumer who has experience with the brands being talked about, and in my view, Medion PCs are acceptable machines for people wanting an above average specification with a limited budget. I am not denying that there are better PCs available, but if you don't have the money, there are alternatives.
As Bruce D suggested, sounds like you need to tweak your graphics settings. I've not had any issues with RBR, but I remember CMR2 used to crash mid-stage on my old PC and that was something to do with shadowing. Try running it with the graphics quality at low, particles off, and reflections and shadows off. If that gets it all working, try changing each one separately and trying again until it crashes again.Quote:

No I've tried running it on the lowest graphics setting for the past couple of days and it makes no difference :(
I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, tried it with and without the patch but it still crashes in a stage, and not the same place it is at random points. Most of the time it freezes and closes itself but occasionally I will get a BSOD which I've never seen since my windows 98 days!!
Not sure what else I can do  My PC hasn't changed at all :s
