Too difficult?
Some tips: Bettenhausen qualified but withdraw and let somebody else to drive this car on race day.
?

Long Beach

Correct
Its Bettenhausen in Euromotorsport year old Lola at LB 1990 practice.Tony B. did not want to risk to destroy his own car before his main target Indy 500, so he made a deal with Antonio Ferrari. He qualified but after original Euromotorsport driver Dacco blow off the engine of #50 sister car, TB withdraw and let Dacco to drive LB GP.

year, car, & driver please
hey, where is everybody? just bumping this to the top......
The car Carson drove wasn't a Lotus. The Lotuses were a mid-engine wedge shape. The car Johnny drove was the Granatelli/Pratt & Whitney turbine with the side mounted engine (on the left with the driver on the right). I remember seeing the film of Johnny's drive (not video in the '60's) on the Tonight Show.Quote:

I believe it's a Paxton designed car with a Pratt & Whittney turbine buillt for Granatelli's team. That is how it is list in the info on turbine cars. Granatelli liked the idea of a turbine car after seeing one at the speedway few years before. Then went to Paxton to have a car designed and built.Quote:
