Re: Rallye Monte Carlo 2014
Gret time JML. Good also from Dani in the i20 and Kubica keeping up his pace and keeping car on the road :). Meeke Struggled in that stage with lack of experience with the tyres, Mikkelsen quite poor tbh

I haven't expected such statement from You :(
Rallying is and ALWAYS has been about coping with conditions. This event called Rallye Monte Carlo gave the name to the whole sport. It is far older than any other rally in the world and it has always been about the fight with conditions. How about Safari? Argentina? Acropolis? That is not rallying for You?
For sure, but all those rallies has average speed well over 60 km/h. Why didnt you expect that quote from me, btw? Iīve said it many times before. Donīt forget last year in Monte they cancelled two stages from very dodgy reasons...
RMC should be in WRC, no doubt, but real rallying is to handle cars with proper setups of tyres (not crossover solutions) and in 6th gear over blind crests etz, etz... And not gambling...
Re: Rallye Monte Carlo 2014
im just happy that. Ogier is not dominating. and i just wish he dont win this one. so he can wait a little bit. and i hope he wont dominite sweden.. happy happy happy he should retire.

Mikko missed on the tires and Evans can hardly be asked to follow a man of Bouffier's ability and experience on his first event in the car?
Mikko on SS4 had the same tires as Kubica and Bouffier.

Well, as I said earlier, it's a gambler's driver time.
Manufacture's drivers are just playing save for now. Just my guess.
That's ok for Evans, but Mikko with his expirence doing so slow times ;( and playing for safe it is bad strategy for manufacture team.

No sorry- rallying is facing upto the stages and rally infront of you- whatever the conditions and difficulties. Rallying is about the unpredictability and excitement.
Re: Rallye Monte Carlo 2014
special stage 05. stage report "Most of the stage is wet with mud, ice only on few places." Maybe it is time for Ogier to make his boss Capito do like this :bounce:
Re: Rallye Monte Carlo 2014
Yeah it might be so even in my described conditions, but donīt ever talk about whoīs fastest when comparing drivers...
excitement only for the fans, focusing and letting their skills play, for the drivers
Re: Rallye Monte Carlo 2014
Sordo stopped on road section with flat battery...
