Come to think of it, it's the opposite really.

The away goals rule is to avoid disrupting the TV schedules - if you delay a soap opera for a fottball match some of the TV audience complain. The motor racing equivalent is the one and a half hour rule. I agree that extra time and penalties is a proper football solution as you can't have a replay when the fans have travelled from so far away.

The DRS on the other hand is a totally artificial tool to 'improve the spectacle' - just one stage better than the NASCAR organiser who threw his hat onto the track to provoke a full course yellow and pace car to close the field up. A football equivalent would be to make the goals bigger every ten minutes until somebody scored - and when a team give a goal away their goal is then made smaller.

I was perhaps exaggerating a bit there. There's nothing in football rules as stupid as the DRS.

There is still a consolation for spaniards. Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao will play the final of Euopa League.

It's disappointing to see antifootball paying off like that.... and so it happened that Barca is kind of on the low side of cycle... anyways I'm not a Barca fan actually. The only team I follow is Man Utd and it seems they only get to play Barca when it's at full throttle.
