The Fiesta isnt alone in having slow development and sales. There's been quite a few R5 / Rally2 cars that have had tough starts and come good eventually and gained popularity. The i20 and the C3 both had poor receptions, and even the Polo had issues that put people off it for a while. Pricing and running costs will also be a consideration and M-Sport could do very competitive deals to sway buyers.
Eddie, the current Fiesta has been in competition since 2019. In motorsport that's like forever. The VW managed to introduce, to fix and to retire the Polo R5 in just two years.Quote:
