Last 2 minutes from Pechs incar is wow!
Great video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ9lhmKeSNk
Onboard of Kopecký from last stage with the crash. You can hear it was a painful hit for Jan. By the way the corner was marked with "caution" in the notes...

And here Pech from the same stage. Looks much faster (but it's largely because of that stupid camera position in Škodas...). Pech complaining that driving slow is terrible idea after he saw Kopecký out. Later he makes a donut when meets his fanclub.

Only 34 crews entered Rallye Šumava: http://entry.rallyesumava.cz/
Only 49 crews entered Historic Rallye Vltava:http://entry.vltavarallye.cz/
Very bad compared to last years :(
Finally some good news. Rally Vyškov is back in rallysprint calendar! It will be held on 6th September as originally planned (only for cup). So after Rally Lužické Hory and Rally Kostelec were canceled due to refusal of some local authorities two former events were brought back (these were fired from calendar before).
According to organizers Tomáš Kostka will start in Kopná with DS3 WRC.

Interesting best time for Jakes in SS1 :)
Pech passed 1st at 2nd stage.
Pech lost some time in the ditch at SS1, according to his words they were happy to get out from it.
Jakeš way more happy with the car than he was at Krumlov, but still not perfect.
SS1 is a natural circuit which is all about engine and Pech was off there. This stage is hold only because of tradition but it has not much to do with a proper stage.
Onboard Pech SS1: http://www.mediasport.cz/rally/onboardy/6270.html
Jakeš onboard SS1: http://www.mediasport.cz/rally/onboardy/6272.html
Really strange that Pech drove the Cinov stage without notes.
One guy from autosport.cz forum counted that Pech in his career already drove it 76x, he is also from the area...
Reportedly Jakeš had a spin in over 100 km/h on today's first stage, touched the wall and car is slightly damaged. Maybe we will see onboard video later.
Almost every driver is complaining about the new tyres, describing them as really dangerous. Vaclav Pech commented that competing with this tyres is "not racing but fight for survival".
ERC control tires only allowed in your championship this year?
Yes, apart from rallysprint championship i think.
True, only rallysprints and historic championship allow use of old-style tyres. MMČR must be run with ERC ones. In Rallye Český Krumlov FIA stewards after a big pressure allowed hand-cutting and from driver's comments it looks like at least today cutting is allowed too.
By the way Odložilík has been having all the time same engine management issues in Valašská rally, Český Krumlov and now Šumava. Meanwhile Jelínek went off from 4th place (just stuck off). He crashed on SS Malenice which is for me one of the best and toughest Czech stages. Petr Hozák is now fourth and leading gr.N. He returned on Rallye Český Krumlov after five years absence. Have to say I'm impressed by him. On the other hand it shows how the level of our rallying went down in last two years. It would be completely impossible three-four years back...
thats because a lot of good czech drivers leaves racing in MMCR.
Kresta is not racing,Kopecky in APRC,Tarabus,Orsák,Hudec in ERC

I can understand the reason about Martin Semerád, but this 3 other drivers don't have enough budget to compete I think? The same about the 'good old' Emil Triner also or did he stopped with rallying?
Is Kalista so good or is the ERC Historic level of drivers very low?
The reason for Kopáček and Bujáček is at least partially similar to Semerád. Kopáček had number of big accidents and in the last one a spectator died (Barum rally 2012) and after that he never drove again. Bujáček's family were organizers of Rallyshow Uherský Brod where 4 spectators died in an accident in 2012. After that he doesn't drive anymore. With Běhálek I think the reason is financial, same with Triner I guess.
About Kalista - he can't be compared to ERC as he is driving a car non-conform with ERC rules. Czech rules allow cars up to 1990 in historic championship but ERC only till 1985 or so I think. It was raining on many stages of Šumava so he had a big advantage of 4WD. Anyway the ERC competition on Rallye Vltava this time was one of the weakest ever. Too early after Targa Florio...
Thank you.
