I agree with that too, but I still think as the rules stand then a decent driver can still put together a championship challenge with 8 events.Quote:

Giandomenico Basso - 9 or 10 (Giandomenico Basso about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Renato Travaglia - 8 (Renato Travaglia-Lorenzo Granai about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Piero Longhi - 8 (Piero Longhi about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Michal Solowow - 8 (Michal Solowow about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Luca Betti - 8 (Luca Betti about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Corrado Fontana - 8 (Corrado Fontana about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Krum Donchev - 7 or 8 (Krum Donchev about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Antonin Tlustak - 9 (Antonin Tlustak about ERC 2008 - ERC)
Did anybody say 13? I didn't notice.
During last year we have prepared material about opinion of ERC drivers about future of ERC (before Eurosport joined championship). Here is one point from this material:
What improvements would you like to see in the Championship?
ˇ Main improvement can be done about the TV COVERAGE. Usually, drivers are choosing a championship instead of another for TV coverage, mainly for easy presentation of their sponsors, that let them race. If there will be the possibility to have more TV coverage via some TV channel, it would be good for all (At least proper internet TV Channel).
ˇ Involve the national motor sport authorities in helping crews in the ERC. Example: the Czech ASN. They give to the drivers, who are competing in ERC or in cups, money to encourage them to compete in these championships.
ˇ More work with the opinions of drivers. To hear what they want and need.
ˇ Lower number of events (8 would be ideal, max. 10).
ˇ Make a better balanced calendar (sometimes there is no time between events to prepare). And mainly not to put Cups events into ERC dates, whats more persuade big national rallies on the same date as ERC events.
After few months of work I can finally confirm ladies cup in following events of ERC - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=14932.
Finally! :)
