I'm sure the increase of number of ERC rounds from 10 to 13 helps them significantly in the negotiations :/
When was the last season with 10 or less rounds in ERC? I don't remember any serious talks about 10 events for 2013. As I recall that was only a wish of some of us...

That doesn't change the point of Jarek. Imagine someone has unlimited budget. He can drive 13 events flat out and 5x crash and still win the title (see case of Mikkelsen in IRC). More events doesn't make the championship better.
