I'm sorry, my best guess is that it's Gerard De Boeck, possibly with a codriver named Conings, but I can't find any confirmation.
I have done some additions to the 1980 and 1981 Rallye Monte Carlo results in RallyBase last night (
http://www.rallybase.nl/index.php?ty...lt&rallyid=288 and
http://www.rallybase.nl/index.php?ty...lt&rallyid=276 respectively) and I discovered in both editions Swiss Daihatsu drivers.
In 1980 the following car was entered in Group 1:
#82 Mario Luini - Michel Wyder (38th overall)
In 1981 there are the following cars, all in Group 2:
#44 Carron - Schaer (retired, classified 93rd)
#50 Chapuis - Bernasconi (unknown)
#63 Mario Luini - Michel Wyder (28th overall)
The only car I could find that Daihatsu produced in those days that could be suitable for rallying is the 1-litre Charade. Is it correct that's the car used?
And does anyone know the first names of Carron (was it Jean-Marie or was it Philippe), Schaer, Chapuis and Bernasconi, and what happened to Chapuis?
