All this FIA price cap for different classes of cars are big bullshit.
We all know how developed S2000 price cap, which was if I remember
correct 160.000 USD - Fabia S2000 was around 250-300.000 eur ready for rally.
Price cap for rally2 cars is 190.000. All new cars are 250.000€+ ready to start the rally.
Also rally3 price cap is 100.000€, but now you can find 1 season old cars which are selling for more than 100.000€ - how is this possible?
Simple, new car, ready to start the rally is around 120.000€. But how, if FIA price cap is 100.000€? :confused:
Loop in the rulebook. FIA states that the car as to work, doesn't say that it should be in a racing state. Few years ago, when the first Hyundai R5 car was introduced I asked if it would be possible to buy with 190k to someone from HMS. They said yes. It was just not race ready.Quote:
