Used the WRC App on Android for the first time in years today and its awful - freezing and crashing all the time. Glad I dont rely on it normally.
That was my experience this year too with the app, but that was on my 7 year old phone. That thing struggled to show any video at all. Haven't tried it with new phone yet. LG TV app works flawlessly howeverQuote:

I know the daily highlights show are now almost as old as time itself, but for the love of god, if you're gonna keep it, at least bring back Paul King to do the commentary and leave Jon Desborough to do the voice-overs for the intro & outro, I don't know why but it's been like this ever since 2020; it's just him over there and it's just awful tbh. Using the ERC App also on Android tonight and i agree it’s really clunky. Usually get the sound-delay problem, but that’s cured by closing and restarting the app (still, it’s about time they fixed that), but also tonight i couldn’t rewind or fast-forward the action, when you stop the stream and exit the app it starts playing on the phone in the background.. go into the app to stop that, exit and then the video randomly pops up on my home screen, grrr!Quote:

4 external cameras on a normal stage are very few, you need to have at least 6-7, they forgot for years now about jimmy-jibs. I watched properly the coverage after Monte-Carlo and still, graphics are obsolete and then also in the build-up they can experiment more "engaging" camera shots from the heli.Quote:

Any UK rally fans that usually watch the WRC+ live stream on tv via BT SPORT (red button), note that you can watch all of the stages of Rally Estonia on it's normal channels this weekend.
This means you can watch them in HD, and if required, record them to watch later.
This may have something to do with the fact that BT Sport is being taken over by TNT Sport from today...

Just finished watching the Belgian GP on TV, and I was wondering, why not show us the ceremonial finish podium? too expensive? Why do we get a 5 second mention of it? they do show the ceremonial start after all.
I would prefer that they spent any money on improving the actual stage coverage rather than wasting several camera's and people on showing a ceremonial finish, we know who has won, they generally have a spraying of champagne after the Power Stage , that's enough for me.Quote:
