I dont know if it was written here, but Laurent Luyet will start in swiss championship with Grande Punto S2000 from MRT.

On weekend 27-28 March, 2nd round of Greek Rally Championship, Olympiako Rally, and on the entrylist there is the Corsa S2000 of Kaltsounis. Let's hope it starts this time.
Apart from that, Vovos, Papajim, and Kirkos Jnr will have another nice fight!
Too bad Hatzitsopanis will not participate this year in all rounds of the championship.

Very bad entry compared to last year on Tank-S rally :(
I understand why there's no Van Eldik, but how about Wevers, Kuipers's family, De Vinkel, Merksteijn's, Pipers, Abbring or Weijs? They don't start in national championship at all?
Last year, the Tank S Rally was a round for the 'Euro Rally Challenge' and this year not. Mark van Eldik is still recovering of his huge crash in Hellendoorn Rally last year and he thinks that Hellendoorn Rally in September will be his first rally of the year. Off course the economic crisis is there too, but the other reason why the entry list isn't good is that mainly all the top drivers (Wevers, René Kuipers and Dennis Kuipers, de Winkel, Piepers, van Merksteijn jun. and sr.), expect Jasper van den Heuvel, will do the 'Euro Rally Challenge' this year.
Kevin Abbring and Hans Weijs jun. do the JWRC. They will probably compete in 1 or 2 rallies in the Netherlands. The Van Merksteijn's do WRC Portugal and Finland, Euro Rally Challenge and some of the bigger national events. Harry Kleinjan won't do a rally this year, probably one or two rallysprints with his old Golf II. :(
The second rally for the Dutch championship, Sezoensrally in Belgium at the end of May, will be a very big event as it counts for the 'Euro Rally Challenge', Belgian Championship and this year the Dutch championship.
Thank You ;) Is there any news about Marcel Piepers? He was fast last year all season...
Marcel Piepers drove two weeks ago the 'Rallye Hannut' in Belgium. He will again be in his Honda Civic Type-R R3 this season. On his site http://www.piepersrallysport.nl/, there is mention that they will annouce their calendar soon. At this moment, they will drive the 'Euro Rally Challenge' and the 'Account Software Rallysprint' on 22 August.
After six stages of Rallye de la Côte fleurie(Normandie), Xavier Lemonnier leading with 52s gap...Is he already used to his new 207 S2000(ex-Ojeda)for the first outing with it ???? ;)
It looks like Slovak Peter Gavlák will start on Rally Saturnus in Slovenia.
A lot of talk for Rally Saturnus which is in almost 2 months...
Nice to hear about Gavlak
i heard the same thing i cant wait for speedtv to put the races on soon :DQuote:

I spoke with the codriver of Piepers and they would like to drive some international rallys and a couple of Dutch rallys. Just because there aren't many teams left to fight with in the Netherlands.Quote:

No surprise in rally Ronde del Grifo in Italy-a win for Franco Cunico ( a close one, yust for 0,3 sec) in front of Paolo Porro, third was Massimo Gasparotto. Also very impressive is a look of their cars-all are top-spec Focus WRC (06 and 07)!!
Vids from Italy?

Perhaps not the last victory of such cars , if Alexandre Bengué drives a 207 too in french championship(latest rumour) :D
This coming week-end is also the first round of spanish tarmac chamionship(Vila Joiosa) with a fantastic duel between Ojeda(Subaru N14), Vallejo and Fuster(both driving Porsche GT) :)
And also the 2nd round of the Madeira championship(Porto Santo Line)with a duel between Camacho, Nunes(both in 207 S2000s)and Sà(Mitsu Evo10 - if no more technical problem) ;)
First round of swiss championship in France(Pays du Gier)with duel between Burri(Grande Punto S2000), Lavio, von Dach(both in 207 S2000s) and Gonon(Subaru N12)...but for the overall rally victory, french drivers Romeyer and Grohens will have the best weapons(206 wrc)...
And Valašská rally with Hänninen, Kopecký, Kresta, Novikov, Pech, Valoušek... ;)
JoostSchouten: Thanks

The Grande Punto was used by Volkan Işık in several ERC rallies.
Young and promising fast Jean-Sebastien Vigion will run the entire french tarmac championship(8 rounds)in a 207 S2000 under the Yacco livery ;)
He already used that car at the 2008 rallye du Var where he finished at an outstanding 2nd position overall :)
He should be favourite for the trophée BFGoodrich but also for the championship(unless Alexandre Bengué runs it on S2000 or WRC)...
Thanks, which are Isik plans for 2009? :confused:Quote:
