SS4 was covered in huge puddles and streams, and it was almost impossible to drive.

I was told that the first stage of tomorrow is already canceled.

We survived !!! We made it to the finish of one of the hardest rallies in our career, and we lost only to the 9-time World champion who was driving a WRC car. This was our beautiful end of the season.

I was on Rallye du Var 8 years ago and counted is as one of the worst rallies in terms of organisation of my life. I was persuaded to go there this year again and... ...almost nothing has improved during last 8 years. And with the terrible weather, usual lack of information and disaster of leading the rally... ...I have a new winner in my table of the worst rally ever. And I hope I will not return soon in next years...
Well, the very first special stage of the Rallye National Hivernal du Dévoluy turned into trouble right away. We started the SS1 very carefully. We had a good grip on the first two corners, and on the third, our car aquaplaned unexpectedly, and we lost control over it. We were fighting for it until the very end, using all snowbanks and small trees, but we ended up off the road, and hit a large tree, where our car got stuck without a chance of getting out on its own. Such a shame, really.

My countryman Gregoire Munster is leading the rally after the first stage.
Gryazin is always full of surprises:):)
More C3 R5 drivers this season in tarmac championship(at least Yoann Bonato, Quentin Gilbert, William Wagner and Pierre Roché) :D
At the Rallye du Touquet next month ther will be also Belgian Niels Stievenart and maybe Nicolas Ciamin ;)
Won’t JB Franceschi also be there on a C3, as a prize for winning 208 Cup last year?
Yes Rally Power, he will.
And Tom206wrc: Niels Stievenart is French I think

Norwegian Sindre Furuset aiming for Peugeot cup in french rallychampionchip as a plan to drive a R5 for PSA, is that some kind of loading for winning this cup?

Just have a look on the current Rallye du Touquet entrylist(not complete yet)
We go to a record-breaking number of R5 cars on a french event :p:
http://www.rallyedutouquet.fr/concur...ages/modernes/
Latest among the entries, one of the clear favourites, Stéphane Lefèbvre with a VW Polo R5 ;)

Rallye Saint Baume: the (surprisingly) leader until 8th stage Romain Dumas on Porsche 911 GT3!! The question arises to me: were all other R5 drivers such crap drivers (I do not know their national scene) that Dumas (who of course is a Top 911 driver) took the advantage of this fact?
What was later the reason of Dumas retairement?
Yes, the level wasn't very good. Mostly local gentlemen drivers, doing 2-3 events per season. Usually when they enter Rallye du Var, they fight around 25-30 place overall.
This was only D2 championship, which mostly nobody does except a few other gentlemen not that fast.
And do not forget that Dumas is pretty fast with its Porsche. Last year in Lyon Charbonnières he was usually in Top 10.
He retired for mechanical purpose (a gasket).

2 WRC, 26 R5, 2 Alpine, ...
Cédric Robert didn't start?
Is the Alpine now R-GT homologated?
Do WRC cars score points for the championship?
Lefebvre was leading but

Yupppi!!! Finally some rally that wasn't canceled! :D
Three Citroens C3 R5 are leading Rally Le Touquet after 8 stages - Quentin Gilbert leads William Wagner and Yoann Bonato - and they are all faster than Eric Brunson and his Ford Fiesta WRC.
Francois Delecour and his Alpine A110 in the 16th position so far:

Not sure if it was such a Yuppi idea, considering the health situation in France…anyway, top 3 figth was really intense yesterday but Gilbert lost the lead on this morning first stage and is currently P5 while Wagner crashed at the end of the loop, leaving Bonato at ease in the front. Bruson is second and behind him Giordano, Franceschi and Gilbert will be fighting for P3.

On the list the A110 is entered as RGT. According to https://www.rallye-sport.fr/es1-touquet-2020/ Robert broke a drive shaft on SS1 but he’s back today under Rally2. Delecour is the best 2wd since the begining, being over 2s/km slower that the best R5’s on Touquet tricky stages.
Nope.
Bonato won; Brunson spun trying to catch the leader and almost lost P2; P3 for Giordano ahead of Gilbert and Franceschi. P11 for Delecour.

Looks like it was an expensive weekend for a few drivers. :D

Looks like we will have a great entrylist of Rallye du Mont-blanc published on tomorrow morning(tuesday) :)
One talks about already 210 entries in the modern section(including more than 20 swiss crews)
I've read on Forum-Rallye that Belgian Cédric Chérain would run rallye du Mont-blanc in the Peugeot 208 Cup(and also Armand Fumal)
Have a look at next week's Rallye du Mont-blanc entrylist !!!!

But before Mont-blanc there's the first round of the french gravel championship this coming weekend in Lozère ;)
Jean-Baptiste Franceschi wins Rallye terre de Lozère for his first outing on gravel with the Citroën C3 R5 :)
But Adrien Fourmaux in his Ford Fiesta R5 was a great contender(only 2" is the final gap) ;)
Really nice 12th overall for Mathieu Franceschi(Jean-Baptiste brother)for his first outing on gravel with the 208 Rally 4 :D
Charles Munster finished 23th overall(3rd 2WD)for his first outing on gravel ;)
Can't wait for Rallye du Mont-blanc next week :bounce:
