and why didn t manage to kept his pace today with half km stages(YOU said that his tyres were worn)?Ogier wasn t close with Tanak or any other driver,Latvala was ahead of other drivers,so he hadn t got any reason to risk tyre wear. Of course it is too early,but we discuss what we saw till now.i told you it doesn t makes sence.

beeing a factory driver,i dont think that what he wanted (Mikkelsen level driver)to proove is acceptable, against risking for points,or tyre wear in 1st day, and without be in danger of other competitors.Specially at second rally of year.
Imho Mikkelsen was on a good day inside familiar stages at his familiar surface.Ogier is not the first time that he is not at 100% at 1st day.Lately we have see this plenty of times.Of course at 2nd day or 3rd we ve see that if he drives as good as he can,there are not any drivers they can compete him.
Ogier is well known for his strange character.He doesn t like to loose even a single stage.Before some days at Monte while he was winner,he said at power stage he didn t pushed because he lost from Latvala for 2 tenths.Latvala is his team mate...
So dont be so sure that today we hadn t got any tactics.
If i was at vw manager position i would do the same. i wouldn t risk ANYTHING with my best driver,and world champion.

Oh, I can easily understand Hyunday's tactics here. They want to finish the Rally for sure, to make decent milleage, that is certain. I just expected Hanninen to be "little" more faster, than Neuville at least, that were the argumets I was writing. He has lot more experience than Neuville with Hyunday, probably also faster on snow, and we also can agree he is very fast driver. I'm not saying there is any consiracy here, just wonder his motivation....

I think you seriously underestimate Ogier's mentality and right motivation. I must say I'm really surprised that VW would do anything, just to make him happy. Probably even will go furhter and say Capito would support much more Latvala, because he has worked long time with him.... and he needs to much more than Ogier.
