Ok...Alexander Wurz, despite saying he left F1 world, signed a contract of test driver with Honda, not sure now he will run in Endurance this year :mark:
From L'Equipe magazine today, Peugeot is at the Paul Ricard circuit for a three days testing program(from today to monday)with Lamy, Sarrazin, Minassian and some other drivers kept secret again(but the mag is almost sure Wurz is among them)... ;)
Crazy news !!!!
On Mariantic website there's the provisional entrylist of 2008 LMS and both 908s crews are said "confirmed" with Minassian-Lamy for the number 7 and Sarrazin-Montagny in the number 8...
What about Marc Gené ?? :(
And I thought Frank Montagny was aiming champcar + Le Mans, not LMS(he will not have time to run champcar if he runs LMS)
Very weird... :mark:
Big surprise !!!!! Brazilian driver Ricardo Zonta confirmed he will drive a 908 at Le Mans this year !!!!
what will be the line up than voor Le Mans?
Peugeot said they have a mjor sponsor lined up, gonna have to wait and see what it is
I saw this as well. I wonder if this will change the livery?

According to the latest rumours there would be already 7 Peugeot drivers(Lamy, Sarrazin, Minassian, Gene, Wurz, Montagny and Zonta)...two names are still missing for a full three cars effort... :)
Official !!!!
Next 15th february, Peugeot-Sport will hold a press conference in Paris to present 2008 endurance program(+drivers) :D
LMS will hopefully be a bit more exciting then last year, were the only exciting thing was guessing how far ahead the Peugeots would be. The Peugeot-Audi battle will be fun to watch.
Is there any news on a Pescarolo Peugeot, or were that just rumours?
just a rumor, they joined forces with Saulnier racing and will be competing with their chassis/bodyQuote:

About Ricardo Zonta driving a 908 at Le Mans, http://www.autosport.com also has an article... ;)
Wow, 88 teams want to compete in Le Mans this year!
And 4 teams wanting to have closed top cars?
1. Peugeot
2. Charouz
3. Sebah Racing/Speedy racing
4.? Epsilon Euskadi? Surely their car isn't ready yet????
Thank you SpeedTV for this great 15 minutes 53 s video about Peugeot's experiences at Sebring. It includes very interesting interviews with Pedro Lamy and Bruno Famin (Technical Director).

Thanks 1LM1 :bounce:
Interesting !!! Peugeot-Sport spokesman told to a canadian newspaper after Sebring Winter Test that Jacques Villeneuve is still in the team's plan this year despite all noises saying that he won't have time for Le Mans with Nascar project !!! :)
According to today Auto-Hebdo, there will be three 908s at Le Mans(so confirmation of what we nearly all guessed) and french driver Anthony Beltoise(son of ex-F1 driver Jean-Pierre Beltoise)would be part of Peugeot 2008 Le Mans team
So if we gather all the different non-official informations we have until today, we could know the 9 drivers of Peugeot for 2008 Le Mans race :bounce:
My bet...
Peugeot 908 number 7: Nicolas Minassian/Marc Gené/Jacques Villeneuve
Peugeot 908 number 8: Pedro Lamy/Stéphane Sarrazin/Frank Montagny
Peugeot 908 number ?: Anthony Beltoise/Alex Wurz/Ricardo Zonta
Now we have to wait for next week(friday 15th february) :p :
I look forward to the LMS ths year with the pre LM battle between Audi and Peugeot.

Marc Gene/Nicolas Minassian/Jacques Villeneuve

All very talented drivers with huge experience.
Here is the direct link for the SpeedTV's video from Sebring as the link above is not the good one:

Very Interesting rumour indeed.
Christian Klien is highly rated as a driver.
So I think we know the whole line up now:
Sarrazin/Lamy/Wurz/Gene/Minassian/Villeneuve/Klien/Zonta/Montagny.
My goodness! :)
Answer tomorrow :bounce:
Italian F1 driver Vitantonio Liuzzi said he received an offer from Peugeot for the 24H of Le Mans race
Report on http://www.autosport.com
He doesn't say he accepted it, but says it interests him...
Now it's too much drivers for a three 908 effort :mark:
If Liuzzi comes, what driver remove from the list
Today presentation of the car and drivers at 10.30am and press conference at 11.00am(GMT+2) :bounce:
OFFICIAL !!!!!
Two 908s for LMS, THREE 908s for the Le Mans race and one 908 at the 12H of Sebring !!!! :D :D
2008 LMS Drivers will be the same as 2007(Lamy, Gene, Minassian Sarrazin), and they will be joined by Jacques Villeneuve, Frank Montagny, Ricardo Zonta, Alexander Wurz and Christian Klien for the 24H of Le Mans race... ;)

About the liveries, not many change finally, except apparition of blue on the number 8 car and more red on the number 7... :mark:

Interesting though, the 908 number 9(official number it will have at Le Mans)could have a totally different livery...
I wub the number 8 livery. The Blue on it makes it look badass! It's little changes that make a great livery!
I don't think there would be a change. On Planet Le Mans, the car will be grey where the other 2 are blue and red.
I agree with you on the blue-ish 8 car. It looks a bit slower than the fast red 7.
More pics of last friday :bounce:

Whilst half paying attention to what was being said on World Motorsport on TV yesterday, did I hear right that they said that there had been a rumour that Andy Priaulx was amongst the potential candidates for the Peugeot squad? Where did that come from?! That would have been great, but not sure BMW would have been too pleased!
During the Geneva Motorshow press conference this week, Peugeot chairman said the make will present this year a new racing prototype with a hybrid-diesel engine ;)
According to L'Equipe magazine from today it will be based on the current 908 and presented during the 2008 24h of Le Mans week in june, then it will take part to the last LMS round(Shanghai)for a full LMS/Le Mans season in 2009 :D
Peugeot would be the first to run with a hybrid engine at Le Mans, very soon ;)
Two important informations from Peugeot-Sport today(at Barcelona during the LMS free practices) :D
First, we officially know the crew of the three 908s at the 2008 24H of Le Mans :)
908 No 7: Gené/Minassian/Villeneuve
908 No 8: Lamy/Sarrazin/Wurz
908 No 9: Klien/Montagny/Zonta
Other important information that is very good news especially for our belgian friends ;) Jacques Villeneuve will drive the 908 No 7 alongside Gené/Minassian on the LMS round of Spa-Francorchamps !!! :bounce:
Of course the 908 No 8 will be driven also by a third driver but Peugeot didn't communicate his name...
yep, Jacques lasted one week in Nascar, hit quick reality he wasn't good enough there, but hes alot more suited for this type of racing
Very interesting news/rumour !!!
During Sebastien Loeb show in the 908 last thursday, british ex-F1 driver Anthony Davidson would have been spotted discussing for a long time with Serge Saulnier, Peugeot Endurance team manager
According well informed sources he could really be one of the 908 drivers for 2009 Le Mans race :D
Anyway, Peugeot press conference for 2009 season plans will be held just after the first half of january... ;)
From today, Olivier Quesnel becomes boss of Peugeot-Sport and stays also boss of Citroën-Sport...let's hope he will succeed by his decisions to allow the 908 to become a victory machine in 2009 endurance season !!! ;)
The program and drivers for 2009 should be revealed around the 20th january...
Official press conference of Peugeot-Sport regarding the 2009 endurance program and drivers will be held in Paris on the 9th february... ;)
No Peugeot-Sport team on LMS09 entrylist !!!! Can't believe that
At least Scott Atherton confirmed there will be two 908s at 12h of Sebring...
