From the pic I've seen it looks like a RHD Focus that McCarrick has - possibly Boland's 05 car??Quote:

And I presume Tracy is driving his new Y3 FMC.
Correct - McCarrick is driving Bolands 04 and Tracy in Y3 FMC, so 16 focuses at present.Quote:

Anyone got any idea about the car Dave Weston will drive for Wales. It might possibly be a typo in the entrylist and it may be his 02 car he used there last year. I'm wondering if he maybe could use a rented Ramsport car as he used to (still does?) have his car run by those guys. Or maybe he's bought a car off someone. It will be interesting to find out either way.
Ford Focus -01 V4 FMC ( XDF 655) is sold to Jonas Wigren from Eddie Höbring.
I dont think it has been mentioned here that we are about to see a large amount of top spec Focus WRC's in action at Wembley for the Race of Champions. Not sure how many will be used exactly or if they will have their numberplates showing.
Either way it will be nice to see a break in the French-bias in the event from the past few years.
Does any of you know if it's Ramsport or Dom Buckley that is preparing Gareth Jones's Focus in Wales?
He is using the Ramsport car he used in Ireland. Reports are that Gareth will be doing a lot more business with the team next year.Quote:

@ Jaanus. At your site you said Erwin Berkhof is the co-driver for Merksteijn. The right co-driver is Hans van Beek.

I see Gareth Jones has got his car up for sale on the m-sport website. He must have some other plans for next year.
I see Paddy's White RHD 05 Focus is up for sale EF 04 WBW

Jukka Hiltunen has bought EX02 OBF
Rumour has it that gareth is going back to an impreza for next year
Another two Dutchman drives Ford Focus WRC 06. One for Wevers, the other for Kuipers. They do the Dutch rallies and the Euro Rally Challenge (6 rallies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany -2 in each country- only for WRCars)
Maybe they do some WRC rounds, I don't know the reg. plates of the car.
It sounds like the van Merksteijn team may also purchase a second 06 car so that Peter jr and Sr can compete on a few of the same events.
Back to the 1ES problem
We have 3 cars who can be the 1ES
EU55 CNN (first rallies)
EU55 BMZ (all rallies)
EJ56 FZV (half season)
EU55 CNK (half season)
My Idea:
Monte Carlo, Sweden, Norway EU55 CNN (almost sure)
Mexico, Portugal, Argentina EU55 BMZ (Mexico is sure)
Italy, Acropolis EU55 CNK (nothing sure)
Finland, Germany, New Zealand EJ56 FZV (almost sure)
Spain, France EU55 BMZ (nothing sure)
Japan EJ56 FZV (sure)
Ireland, Wales GB EU55 BMZ (nothing sure)
Mail from M-Sport makes it not simple:
Dear Sir,
In the UK we carry out a cherished transfer.
This allows the reg No. 1ES to be tranferred from car to car thoughout the year.
Thank You,
What do you think? I have now empty field in my Access database...
The 1ES cars are all found here on the Focus site by Jaanus,
http://www.zone.ee/focushistory/2007.html
This is new info. This is not so long at te website. How do you know this is right? Is this just gambling or do your source by M-Sport e-mail you with right info?
The newest Martin Holmes book has Matt W using the following during the year as 1ES.
EJ 56 FZV - Finland, Germany, NZ, Ireland and GB
EU 55 BMZ - Argentina, Italy, NZ (okay one of the NZ entries is obviously wrong)
EU 55 CNK - Greece, Spain and France
EU 55 CNN - Monte, Sweden, Norway, Portugal
He also used EJ 56 FZV registered as such in Japan and EU 55 BMZ in Mexico.
Richard
Interesting. But is this car real?:Quote:

If so, EJ56 FZV is not the 1ES in Wales, but a promotion car. Look at the reg. plate.
Pfff. How do know Holmes this? And probaly not good enough see NZ. If he don't know and didn't come to the a clear source by M-Sport...It is a good journalist. Jaanus, where do you your info from?
Inside M-Sport by Discovery, How It's Made.

Interesting, but short story about the car and team.
A new livery, a new car, and FMC is back on the reg.plate. I liked that.
1FMC is the show car at Autosport Show an I guess the car of Hirvonen in Monte Carlo.
http://www.worldrallypics.com/fotowe...DFFB/11029.jpg
It's surprising if they do intend to use that plate. How expensive must that be! I thought it would be used on a historic Ford road car or something? We'll see what happens in Monte Carlo.

Reg Pale and history of car?
Arolainen bought Y6 FMC at the end of last year.
Does any of you know, if Dom Buckley will continue to run/prepare the Focus for Van Merkstein i the WRC rallies in 2008?
This year VM-Motorsport run it self.Quote:

McHales 03 & 05 Focus are for sale or/and rent.

Don't think the team actually assigned chassis numbers to any of the cars... Sure I read that in one of the world rallying books....Quote:

EA 07 RGS - Al Qassimi
EO 56 TZR - Solberg
EU 07 STX - Duval

I have talked with the team and for Sweden it will still be Dom Buckley preparing/running the car. For the following events it's unclear, but at some point VM-Motorsport will take overQuote:

Jaanus something for you:
X9FMC?

http://www.rally-shots.com/Albums/Mi.../1D3_1462t.htm
I have never heard anything about X9 FMC, I know there were X8 and X10 FMC, but never seen X9 FMC. If anyone can tell me more about that car I would be very interested.
The white Focus on the two photos should be EJ02 KMO.
