In the past, the higher the number of spectators on the WRC stages, the more spectator-related problems there were, which often led to the WRC stage to being cancelled or the rally cars passing at road speed etc.
In my opinion WRC at present is better run with lower number of spectators on the stages, it may reduce the number of idiot spectators on the stages. The spectator groups that stand in the wrong places, even after being told to move, The individual 'thrill seeking' spectators laying on the ground in front of cars and other idiot incidents.
Some of these 2024 WRC Croatia stages would not run in other countries (where the spectators are up the bank in trees) because the spectators are not in designated spectator areas.
The wrc cars running on carbon fuel has the potential to attract the attention of the hand-gluers. The higher the profile of the wrc sport the more likely this is to happen.
Croatia is nice in TV, but for the fans it isnt so great. Waking up at 2:30 to watch just 2 passes of SS9, cuz there is just NO entrance to the stage

I admit I'm getting older and my eyes aren't what they used to be, but I don't see any rain on rally.tv.
Fourmaux stage win! 0.5s
Take a bow, Adrien. Impressive start to the day. More importantly, confirming a genuine growth and maturity. That stage time must rank as a turning point of sorts
Second stage already and still no expected rain..
The rainiest forecast I can find is for the fourth stage: https://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/pecurkovo
Others have less
Morning should be dry but afternoon mainly RZ 14 will be hell
Really nice drive by Matteo Fontana in the 2WDs ;)
When it’s like this, I wish we’d had a double header, back to back tarmac events, here this weekend, and next weekend in Corsica…
Brynildsen has set some surprisingly good times given that he's out of practice, doesn't know the car and it's tarmac.
I don't miss Corsica, their itinerary was uninteresting. Two long stages in the morning, repeated in the afternoon.
Nice stage this #11.
Greensmith certainly put on a show.
Has this rally been one of the closest battles in recent years?
Croatia Rally and then Canaries Rally two or three weeks later?
Nice very long live coverage from SS11!
Forum seems quite dead in this topic. Very interesting and close rally (as every year in Croatia) top 3 exchanging times stage to stage and I'm enjoying every second of it.
Thierry on a mission but we all know that him driving under pressure as the time leader can lead to ''quick exit''.
Either everybody are on stages or people are not so interested :D
Let's if toyotas can catch him before afternoon loop
Well, I“m here and enjoying. Even though I don“t like tarmac rallies. I admit this is a good version of the surface.
Ogier using 3 different compound tyres :D
Another very good loop by Fourmaux and didnt lose much to Tanak on the last stage despite being down on power with an engine misfire.
Stunning last stage by Neuville, massive commitment and beating the other top guys by 2.9s who were on virtually the same time !
Not boring when following Neuville on this stage. Stunning time. Outclass even the master.
Thierry Thierry Thierry!!!! what a stage and what a drive
This event can only be described as rivetting.
Top 5 are trading times and finishing very closely bunched up. Hard to see how this can be boring
Damn, Rossel in some sort of mechanical trouble.
Suddenly the punctures are coming.
Don't hit the same rock Sami!
