Sadly we're forced to retire for today due to suspension damage suffered on SS4. We don't know how or why it broke since I didn't hit it anywhere.
Team will investigate the car once it gets back to service and hopefully get it fixed so we get to continue tomorrow! #KR69

I think Dani got tired and annoyed to save tires and went fot it. Based on stage-end interview, he clearly does not like this tire-saving mode.

It's extremely boring, from 5 cars close in pace to 2 at best already half way trough first day. Safari will be even worse with just 2 starting in the first place... compared with Portugal or Croatia it's quite a big letdown.Quote:

I understood brakes but it looked like he had zero acceleration as well. He didn't even rotate the car through the hairpins.
He just said no brakes. Prbly not keep on accelerating too much when he can't brake for next corner.

To make M-Sport day 100% failure, Greensmith stopped (assumed gearbox).

SS6 UPDATE:
That's it for the day. Our water pipe exploded for some reason during the stage. We tried to repair it in the stage and managed to get in to the finish but with the tools we have here it's impossible to fix it properly.
