Great shame about Åhlin. It was a great battle with Cronin.
I go away for a few hours and the rally leader crash and the BRC leader is reported as mechanical issues. Typical!
Edit... although now I read here that he crashed. Any news on what happened to Åhlin?
Devine got his time back following his delay but has since lost time on SS6. Ingram now leads Juniors by 14.9s over vd Marel.
Cars no. 70 and 71 crashed into each other. I don't know how...

Gearbox change for Abbring tonight, as he needs longer gear ratios for higher top speed.
Juniors end of Fri - times are showing Ingram leads from G.De Mévius by +18.40s. Not sure what's happened with Devine as his time should be adjusted.
That might be a mistake. Sure, he might win time the one time he would otherwise on the limiter for 10 seconds, but everywhere else he will lose acceleration.Quote:

The first loop of 5 stages went well with 2 best times and a great battle with the guys. We were leading Ypres Rally by 2.9s when we took the start of SS6. In this corner, I brake a bit too late and it was a lot of gravel there so we went off. I hope we can start again tomorrow morning.
excuse my ignorance, but when Loeb does a regional rally, he ends up winning by a big margin, in similar category. However Neuville didn't seem to outpace the rest of the field that much before his off? Really good level in belgium champioship?

If you look at the number of crashes, you'll quickly see this a very technical rally. I also think that Neuvilles driving style doesn't suit these narrow and very fast stages. TBH, although I hoped, I never believed he could win here, or he would crash, our the car would break.

Presumably now that Neuville is no longer in contention for the win he will be going as fast as he can to prove the i20's speed.

Worried look on the face of car owner Bernard Munster, owner of the Škoda of Bouffier. Engine support broken. 1 SS to service.
We are now on SS11, no rain but roads stay damp. It's windy so some parts dry fast.
