Guys, did you see the results from Mexico? The difference between the winner and the second-placed driver was... 20 minutes and 11 seconds! Is this the biggest difference ever? ;)
Final results (WRC2):
1. Suninen Teemu, Skoda Fabia R5, 04:43:59.20
2. Ptaszek Hubert, Peugeot 208 T16, +20:11.60
Do we know in what events Suninen will be eligible for points?
True, still Tidemand lost one minute driving FWD on one stage.
Judging by Twitter yesterday Jose Antonio Suarez now has a full WRC2 7-round programme this year. Looks like Carlos Sainz was instrumental in making it happen.
Not sure which rounds exactly but the next one is Portugal.
Looking back the original plan was for 5 rounds - Monte, Portugal, Sardinia, Germany and Corsica.

So now they should support him in Catalunya and somewhere else.

This weekend at the Regional Meuse rally, Sébastien Loeb Racing Team will contest the first rally of its history.
It's Quentin Giordano who will have the honor of opening this new chapter of the Alsatian team. Yesterday the Vosges pilot discovered his Peugeot 208 T16 for a first session debugging.
After this first round of the Coupe de France, Quentin will start the rally Epernay early April, before resuming its program in the WRC-2 with six innings Sardinia, Poland, Finland, Germany, Tour of Corsica and Great Britain.

Presumably as a test Pontus Tidemand entered Rally Šumava, Czech championship.
M-Sport's Elfyn Evans WRC2 entry for Rally Argentina confirmed today ! :)
Pontus Tidemand tested the R5 on Barum rally stage Žlutava (Halenkovice). Very spectacular, especially the infamous crest!

WRC2 to get it's own highlights show from Argentina onwards. About time too.
Finally!
waste of money and tv time for a dead championhip infested with nobodies.
C'mon NOT. This is where the future WRC drivers come from. You want everyone to be the best but the best aren't just born from nothing. WRC2 has possibly some very good future WRC drivers in its championship. Sometimes you say some good things and bring this forum down to earth, but I vastly disagree with you on this and I think a lot of others on this Forum will too

The cars seems to have sharper sound, doesn't it?
Some type of crowd funding or investment challenge is on for Emil Bergkvist. Saying he needs to drive this year in WRC2 and all possibilities for a seat in WRC in 2017. But still short of funding for full rest of season 2016. Have a look yourself at

Kajto will start in Rally Poland in Fiesta R5.

nice, lets see how fast will be against wrc2 runners.
Anyone know whether the 30 minute WRC2 highlights programme we were promised actually exists and if so where and when it is screened?
after Portugal we have 41 different drivers who have started in WRC2 this year.
(Scandola in Sardinia will be 42)
Some info about this Kruuda/Pärn swap. Pärn's father says that you have to ask Dmack about it. Yesterday Glenn Patterson didnt comment on this and said that there will be some more info on friday. But today Patterson has made a comment to estonian newspaper that Kruuda will do Sardinia and maybe two more rounds because they have new gravel tyres out and they believe that he has the speed to help to develop them further.
Basically they did the same thing as Red Bull did with Kvyat/Verstappen :p
Was there any special reason for Parn running with Jarveoja in Portugal?
James as his co-codriver last season, right?
The reason was that Kruuda said that he will skip this season and then Pärn took his co-driver but all has changed now. Cormack confirms today that Kruuda will do Sardinia, Poland and Finland and the reason for this is that Pärn was just slow.
Ptaszek is "co-driver" in NesteRallyFinland (not a mistake in entries, he was driver before yesterday)
Reason: max number of events in WRC2 is 7 and he is driving 13 (missed Portugal), so probably he is listed as co-driver in 6 events.
and yes according to rules co-driver can drive but the one who is listed as driver will get drivers points. Rendina did same stunt previous year.
It will be interesting to see does he have more drivers or co-drivers points at end of year (and of course wise wersa for Szczepaniak)
