damn,i feel sleepy..
Here's this afternoon's tyre choices from the Michelin runners:
Hayden Paddon - five hard
Dani Sordo - four hard, one soft
Mads Ostberg - four hard, one soft
Jari-Matti Latvala - four hard, one soft
Sebastien Ogier - four hard, one soft
Andreas Mikkelsen - four hard, one soft
Eric Camilli - four hard, two soft
Ogier's first split is just one second faster than his previous one... Has he done some mistake? I thought he would have been very much faster on the second run..
Stage winner prediction - Paddon !
Mads time will be interesting - no tyre excuses now...
EDIT - no split 1 ?
where is mads? car stopped?
with wrc.com it's most likely just missing split
Mads GPS tracking shows he´s way from the stage before start!!!
What? Mikkelsne 17secs? Seems like a spin or something similar, let's see if it increase or it was just a "one off" mistake
What a first split for Latvala!
nice split from Tänak
Ostberg disappeared. Taken by aliens?
what the hell, that split from Latvala in unreal
think with Meeke we would watch another rally.Pitty he is not at Mexico.
Ogier -35 sec from 1st pass at 5th split
Camilli is super-slow... behind Prokop & Bertelli !
Mikkelsen lost more time now...
Sordo losing time now as well.
Ogier -44 from 1st pass
Fri 15:32 - SS7: Ogier
He completes. His time of 38m26.3s - is on course to be slower than Jari-Matti Latvala. "That's normal. I'm looking at the gap with Andreas Mikkelsen, that's the guy I'm fighting with. Jari-Matti is in a different race.
World Excuse Championship !
Ogier's second half was impressive.
Fri 15:36 - SS7: Mikkelsen 42.3sec slower than Ogier. No obvious sign of damage from outside. What happened? "I don't know. I overshot a junction early on, had to stop and turn around, and after that something felt very strange with the car. It's handling like a snake everywhere. A diff maybe? The brakes have gone now too - I was using them so much to keep the car stable."
OSTBERG
32.6sec off Ogier's pace, but Mads is far happier with his second bite of El Chocolate. "This was competitive. I can feel the tyres are working this time. The hard compound was the right one this time."
Still down on Paddon who he should be competing with here.
Latvala not so super-fast at the last split !
