Kolomý lost 1,5 hours :(
Now Loeb appeared at wp7 lost 2 mins of his lead, now 1min ahead of Paterhansel Sainz leads the stage 1 min ahead of Loeb but i do not know how reliable are the times.
It looks like a tyre change for Loeb, nearly exactly 3 minutes lost on the split.
Chanel tv France 4 they say that Loeb has problem with the engine (oil leak)
WP8 Carlos et Peter ok..... Seb????
Sainz 20sec ahead of Loeb who is in turn 2.30mins ahead of peterhansel, the finish is adjacent to wp8 so not big changes at finish i guess. Loeb the overall leader once more.
Tomorrow is rest day at Salta so the race resumes on Monday with 393kms special stage.
Sainz 38 sec ahead of Loeb and 3.27 on Peter ;)
Lionel Baud best known as one of the main entrants in Terre de France, hit a spectator today.. :(
still no times at finish, typical argentinians, useless at everything.
After Sébastien Loeb and Stéphane Peterhansel, today it was Carlos Sainz who won the seventh stage of the rally. The Spaniard claimed the sixth consecutive win in the 38th Dakar for Peugeot. He leads Sébastien Loeb by 38' and Stéphane Peterhansel by 3'27'.

We know that the next steps will be complicated but no question to ask. auto market strong, we will attack !!
Frankly it was not thought to be leader withDanosElena the rest day for our firstdakar. We are happy and we will savor.
In the end the car was working perfectly again and the main is to find the 1st place. That was the goal to start this morning
Step a little contrast: the first top part fort was attacked and taken time. 2nd game with engine failure at the start but it has walked again
The buggies in the past have never been so fast like Peugeot now as they were never developed by a strong manufacturer. Peugeots were faster than Minis in Marocco so they shall be fast in the sand here too.
Some info from trucks. Kolomý crashed in the dust while chasing some Kamaz. The crew managed to repair the Tatra and continue with a big time loss.

The Peugeots are sooo much more spectacular cars than the dull Minis (I know it's mostly due to the rules but still).
Mouve on !! Gordon show

Ok true. However with tricky navigation, reliability and amount of stress the cars have already gone through, experience of the crews, the second half will be very interesting.
Thats why I think Perter slipped behind Nasser. I think he prefers to tail him being the biggest threat.
I still think that in extremely difficult conditions the 4wd cars will have the edge. And according to the description on the route, things are going to get progressively harder.
As of now, I will put 45% of my money on Nasser, 35% on De Villiers and 20% on Peter!
If there's anything history has shown over the years it's to always put 100% on Loeb.
Sebastien Loeb retakes Dakar lead, Carlos Sainz wins stage seven
Saturday, January 9th 2016, 19:32 GMT
Carlos Sainz, Dakar Rally 2015
Sebastien Loeb retook the lead of the Dakar Rally on Saturday, while his Peugeot team-mate Carlos Sainz claimed stage honours.
The Uyuni - Salta stage was split into two parts, with the cars crossing the border from Bolivia to Argentina through a neutral section in the middle.
At the start of the neutral section Loeb enjoyed a lead of more than two minutes over Sainz, with overnight rally leader Stephane Peterhansel 3m27s back in the third Peugeot.
But engine problems for Loeb meant Sainz assumed control when the stage resumed in Argentina, building a lead of 56s over his fellow World Rally champion before reaching the finish line 38s faster than the Frenchman.
With Peterhansel 3m27s adrift of Sainz at the finish, Loeb retook the overall lead of the standings by 2m22s heading into the rest day.
"The first [section] was awesome, we went at full tilt and opened up a big gap," said Loeb.
"We then had trouble before the start of the second sector.
"The car worked more or less, it was a turbo management problem, but we lost our focus and bit and made a navigational mistake.
"Halfway through it started working properly again, and we put on the afterburners for the rest of the stage.
"I was super motivated this morning to take the lead back.
"We didn't manage to do everything we wanted, but we're in the lead and that's what counts.
"The next three stages after the rest day are packed with pitfalls, but our only strategy is to attack a lot."
It marked a turnaround in fortunes for Loeb, who lost more than eight minutes on Friday when he suffered two punctures and a sticking throttle, costing him the lead to Peterhansel for a day.

While the competition from Peugeot sets the pace, there is thick air at X-raid. Guerlain Chicherit has decided to no longer want to go to the start. As reasons for the surprising demolition, he gave to the results of the past few days and its present poor starting position. For X-raid participation of the buggy was a pure test under competitive conditions.
"We all, including Guerlain, knew from the beginning that the buggy is not competitive and had completed only a few test kilometers," said X-raid Team Manager Sven Quandt. "He himself had given us after the last test before the Dakar, the 'GO' to participate. Our mechanics have invested a lot of work to bring the buggy at the start. His decision is a big disappointment and a setback in the development for all. Yesterday's stage has shown over the potential of the buggy has -. To a technical defect Guerlain could ride in the top 10. "
Chicherit took his leave with the words: "I am deeply disappointed, but under the circumstances you have to use your head and not the heart. Security comes first" - What the Frenchman thinks so, he is Quandt certainly explains in great detail have.

Just watched quite nicely detailed TV summary from our TV (with live commentary as the stage is still on). There were a lot of crashes from bikers. Yesterday Faria, Barreda and Jakeš crashed, today Walkner. All are injured, Walkner badly with broken thigh bone.
Also unfortunately a fatal accident happened. A 63 years old spectator died when he was hit by a buggy of Lionel Baud.
And something funny at the end... yesterday's story of Robbie Gordon. He took not enough fuel. After some time they tried to pump some fuel from his teammate's car to end with both cars out of fuel some time later. They were then towed to the finish...
We are at the half of the rally and Kamaz starts to attack - just like last year.
