Well only 4 people predicted a Breen win and of those I'm the only one with a Luk DNF, the others had him in the top 4 somewhere. I might just do it at last! But... it is the 208! (as has been said)

Strange that Consani is so subdued today. He is usually very consistent and very fast. Has he a problem with the car?
Aleks Zawada lost his confidence after the “hottest moment of my life”

What happened?
P.S What i noticed on that rally so far is that opels are equally, more less, fast to 208s,i didnt expect that.i anticipate to see what will happen to the next rallies so i can have a safe view.
the second day begin, let see what will happen
Sirmacis 12.8 from Berqkvist
(37 - Adielsson Mattias / Bäck Christoffer): off the road between flying finish and stop control
(30 - Sirmacis Ralfs / Šimins Arturs): We did big mistake, from limiter we were slowing down too late and hit a chicane.
difference now 28 sec for Sirmacis
46 stage km more, lets see if he can do it.
Chuchala stopped and Rohtmets stopped.
Today we have interesting situation. Jeets is first on the road but his times are not too bad compared to his closest rivals. first 8 starters are 2wd and 4wd mixed. these cars are using different lines and therefore it is hard also for the following starters. Now we still have snowtsorm (it is snowing again) and flying snow. Conditions will be very difficult for the second pass as well. Those who figth for the positions... not good. We lost 3 out of 11 Junior ERC cars in three first stages and one had major timeloss.
Wtach the picture above, car nr 39. Crashed

Rohtmets retired after the stage: "No power in the engine, strange noises from the engine."
Ogryzek and Pieniążek are stopped a bit before ss9 end.
edit: Ogryzek finally finished the stage
One to go... bring it home Craig ! :)
And Junior Chris Ingram...
One to go... bring it home Emil !
Finally... a win for Craig Breen !! :champion:
With 208T16 reliability and a bit of luck at last, the win comes and the Championship battle is on. :)
Consani 5th overall after started the day on 11 position
good starting position for him. Jeets had one position wrong and se what happend to him. He should receive snow plough trophy today :-P
a quick standing (possible mistake :) ):1. Kajetanowicz 45 2. Breen and Consani 40p 4 Lukyanuk 32p 5 Plangi 28p
Interesting the points standing of Consani !!! That can only encourage him to continue ERC program :)
does Plangi have a ERC program or is this just a one-off?
Congratulations to Craig Breen, well deserved win after a steady drive, although I still think Lukyanuk would have the edge on speed had he not crashed.
Just watched first day full coverage and saw that official opel motorsport team is in Liepaja...

It´s a big win for the young Swede and it´s also been a while when Opel has achieved any major victories in the ERC,

Big congrats to Breen and his co-driver. Although they were not the fastest, this time they had luck on their side. Deserved, after last year's disastre, this came as a relief to them and also to PSA.
Second to mention-crazy R2 drivers. Almost unbelivable stage times....
