Interesting conditions on Day 1 stages today! Snow/ice across the Cols but majority dry tarmac. Locals tell me good chance of snow tomorrow!
Three stages scheduled on Spain's Canal+: Vitrolles-Faye 2 on friday and Sospel-Breouil s/Royans 1 & 2 on saturdayQuote:

Rally started yesterday via ceremonial start (or the day before by scrutineering). Today was free day for press conference, tomorrow is shakedown and on Thursday morning starts first stage (at 7:28)Quote:

Service park is a bit crap and poorly laid out. Its like Citroen have been shoved in a corner out the way, while the other teams are randomly spread around.
Hyundai Motorsport has an indoor spectator area where everyone will be welcome to watch the cars being serviced from tomorrow!

About time the Brits were back at Monte Carlo...

The first British Monte winner, the Hon. Victor Bruce with his Autocarrier (later AC) in 1926
Good history from iRally:
The event has only been won six times by UK drivers. It’s half a century since Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon won the 1964 Monte in an original Mini: 46 years since Vic Elford and David Stone won the 1968 event in a Porsche 911.
Elford was the last British driver to win the rally: victory at Monte Carlo eluded Roger Clark, and world champions Colin McRae and Richard Burns..
H-10. It's time for a last recce before cars roar:
