For this winter's championship winter sprint (during SM-veckan), a record amount of crews/cars have submitted their entry.
128 crews will drive in this year's sprint but that also mean that there only will be two qualification heats
on Saturday, compared to the three that was originally planned. the 40 fastest will advance to Sunday's finals.
This sprint will be held on February 4-5th (the weekend before RS).
At least Sunday's heats will be televised/live streamed.

Well, no offence, but it was Norway, however they belonged to Sweden up to 1905, so never mind. ;)
The legend Mats Jonsson has finally uppgraded to a newer WRC-car. Sold his old Escort WRC to Spain and also the new-build Escort WRC i think. Now he have a Skoda Fabia WRC, maybe ex. PG Andersson.

Cant find Saturday yet.
No live broadcast on Saturday, only rallyradio

Micke, I know but I still think it is a poor performance by SVT,
Anyway live timing can be found here. http://www.vola-racing.com/msportspro/tavlingsconsult/

Ja inte har mediahanteringen varit av världsklass. OK för rallyradion, men sen ...
Per Wilén second run in-car from Saturday. Unfortunately he hit a stone in his first run which caused a flat tire so he missed Sunday's finals.
Per's second run was the fasted 2WD run on that stage.

MittMedia have bought the right to broadcast live from Österund SM-premiere round but it will only be available for the newspaper group's subscribers.
http://www.sbf.se/Nyheter/SvenskBils...rettsamarbete/
Actually MittMedia is joint own company that own a large group of local newspaper in south-central Sweden and not only one local newspaper in Östersund.
However I still agree with you though. I wouldn't mind paying for a tv-coverage but only if it where straight from SBF and if the radio guys,
Sebastian, Per and Old could handle the actual presenting/interviewing.
I do not want to pay a middle hand like newspapers or tv-companies (like Viasatsport) a monthly subscription fee
since they are expensive and you have to pay for stuff (like football) that you are not interested in.
Ola Strömberg is still a reporter/end of stage interviewer for Rally live rally radio, which covers SM as well as some other rallies (who ever feel it worth to hire them).
OK. Thought he only drove his Sukka and drank wine in Spain nowadays ... ;)
P-G Andersson will make a (temporary?) comeback during Östersund SM-rally. Tv-commentator Jonas Kruse will also make
a comeback at an, so far, unspecified rally. http://nwt.se/sport/motorsport/2017/...g-gor-comeback,

Well not just that...there are some evil plans cookin on low heat and it might involve some rear wheel driving of some Swedish car, can't recall being a Saab guy but it's boxy and square looking....kanske heter "Svensson container" eller nåt så där...tii hiii....
Did you see his in-car video coupla weeks ago? End of SS and co-driver is apologizing for missing a note and Ola says så mild o snäll ''That's OK, we probable were faster because of that''
Suzuki looks to be pretty good fun for the price..
That same weekend was season opener härborta...
I show Ola's in-car and people are all excited...only later point out he is 70 and the car is a 1,3...because he looked faster than all but 2 or 3 here.
First round of Rally-SM this weekend. It is the only snow rally in this year's SM since Sandviken/Gävle round moved to June.
As always Rally radio will be available. Broadcasting times are Friday - 17.00 - 21.30 Saturday - 07.00 - 17.00
https://sbfplay.solidtango.com/live/...-rally-live--2
Entry list: http://resultatservice.se/resserv/v2...aceNbr=2017005
Östersundsposten will broadcast one stage live but you need to be a subscriber to access it.
https://www.op.se/logga-in/live-tv-v...-tavlingen-har (behind pay wall)
From now on (Android users only) you can listen to rally radio / watch SBF play with a new app called SBFPLAY Radio which can be found at Google play.
It is developed from the old Rally live app by the Rally live staff on behalf of the Swedish motorsport federation (SBF).
Likely ios and windows mobile apps will likely follow soon.
PG out with a broken gear box. Drove the first +20km stage with gear 1 and 5 only. Mats Jonsson is also MIA. Per Wilén very fast as usual.

Decent job by Daniel Röjsel although the competition was not hard. It was his first outing with the R5, right?
