It went almost very wrong yesterday in Wervik! YouTube - ‪GEKO Rally van Wervik‬‏
That is true, but unfortunally Andreas will only have about one hour to test the car. But on the other hand Mikkelsen's engineer was all the time there when Freddy was testing, so he knows all about th set-up. ;)Quote:

About the startlist, there will be probably another startorder ..
Short version of the incident. Let's hope for some bad weather in Ypres, this might make the rally very interesting!Quote:

It was really lucky to not touch nothing...
Turbo Magazine :: Ypres : Lara Vanneste à la droite de Pieter Tsjoen
Lara Vanmeste will replace Eddy Chevaillier as navigator for Pieter Tsjien. Chevaillier is out for months due this back injury in the Acropolis rally
rough translation:
Eddy Chevaillier injured, Pieter Tsjoen had to quickly find a replacement for next weekend. In fact, it will be a replacement since it is the lovely Lara Vanneste which will support the six-time champion from Belgium aboard the Peugeot 207 Super 2000 colored Structo. The young woman becomes a little joker deluxe Dutch pilots since has replaced Fred Miclotte (held in Greece) to the right of Freddy Loix in tests Skoda private driver to Ypres.Dominique Bruyneel first registered with the Peugeot 207 S2000 NCRS, Lara Vanneste French will hand over to Jean-Charles Deschamps, Bruyneel old accomplice in France Rally Championship on Earth.
I see the extra Skoda('s) from Wevers Sport are coming from Juka Autosport , isn't that the team were Skoda Deutschland cars came from?
Yes, it is. Juka has been also helping Škoda Motorsport in assembling cars for many years. They are good ;)
Nice, all the Skoda's are top then the Van Loon (Weijs Jr) and Ten Brinke Skoda came from Skoda Motorsport.Quote:

Any tests of Rossetti or Proton planned?
Proton was testing this weekend - in New Caledonia :)
Herbold tested today in Luxemburg, Wevers Sport and Skoda Motorsport with Kopecky and Mikkelsen in Belgium. That were probably the last tests because recce is coming now. Rossetti has not so much budget so testing was probably impossible.
Shakedown ;)Quote:

Patrik Sandell's reasons for not doing Ypres -“Given that we've had two quite disappointing rallies in a row there’s a pressure on us now to start delivering,” explained Sandell. “So we have to look closely at the upcoming events and focus on the ones where we think we are most competitive. We simply have to favour results rather than learning. It is not optimal, but that’s the reality.”
It's a pity this has happened but I understand it a bit that he did it. Ypres is just in the mid of seasons where some drivers evaluate their program and sometimes they changed it and can't start in Ypres because of obvious reasons :( .
Btw I liked the article a lot from Autosport.cz about the priority list. I hope Pluto can ask Bryan about his Fia A and get a reasonable answer!
Good, honest quote from Sandell. I think points would have been difficult for him in Ypres. I do expect him to be much closer to the front on the gravel....
Good luck to Melissa Debackere :bounce: I'll "follow" her results quite tight :D
Why u not come Tom? Or do u live in the south of France?

Cyril Vosahlo will not start, broken engine.
Maybe off topic but reading an old Martin holmes book I wonder what Larry Cols is doing. did he recovered but cannot compete anymore?
He is little bit better, but still didn't recover completely and probably never will. I think it is out of the question that he will ever compete again and certainly not at high level. I know it is pitty to hear this, but that is how it is. :(
thanks for your replyQuote:
