AHHHHH!!! Gotta figure out what stages I'm going to!!
Make sure your entry roads are not like the time we drove 7km down a forestry road in Hokkaido to find a dead end en-route to the stages haha!
WRCfan(ny) haha will do! that was classic. Good ol' Rally Japan... i hope it comes back in the calendar so I don't have to go :p
Thanks for the heads up. Should be interestingQuote:

Hayden is also driving a newer car which makes it even more difficult. More seat time in the car has a plus, as well as the few open sections will suit Haydon as well as Brendo.Quote:

The roads are too technical in places to risk a big charge, very narrow tree lined roads which are fast, so similar in nature to perth without ball bearing surface.
A nice watch for preping Rally Aus

Big boys are in town! We're off tomorrow morning to checkout the stages and service park.
where is the rally located ? i want to work out the time differences.
converted the time zone in CET
The World Clock - Time Zone Converter - Australia
its -8 from CET, -7 for Greece/Finland ects and -9 for UK.
set your clocks european people....early start.
I havn't attended a rally before but as it is nearby was going to head up to the state forest and take a look at the Welshes stage from the adjacent state forest with a mate. I was expecting a similar setup to the NW200 where you can purchase grandstand seating or just find yourself a spot around the track. Looking on the net however it looks like they want you to fork out a small fortune to view from only a couple of select locations. I understand why you cannot trek onto private property to view the rally, but so long as you're in a safe location surely they cant stop you viewing from public land (state forests/national parks) can they? The roads are open up to the track area according to the rta. Are we not allowed to park and walk into the forest?
I think there's always going to be an element of this when you're in Hayden's position whether you set out on that path or not.Quote:

Did Novikov have a problem, 1 time only ?
In Sydney now on my way to Coffs Harbour in few hours for SS1 tonight! Missed shakedown and autograph show but still excited!
Well Novikovs car came past on the back of a towtruck.. with the front bumper missing. Did look like the sump had been collected. Wasn't any other damage.

Any online streams from first SS?
Novikov off right infront of us. Clipped an inside bank ad then broke the steering arm. Which then lead him straight into a big gum stump.
At SS1?Quote:
