Sadly there is no option in the menu to change the co driver to call more accurate instructions. Co-driver is the only major let down in this game.
Has anyone bought the France copy of WRC? I really want to see what the safari stages are like.

Thanks for the heads up mate, I probably wont be running out to buy this game like I did with the last one then. At a later date, I wont rule it out though:-)Quote:

Would´ve liked to have better car sounds, and of course a co-driver that sounds like a human being. Has anyone experienced that the difficulty in "Road to WRC" suddenly get´s unaturally hard after completing the wild card entry to rally Greece in the WRC Academy season. Up to this event I had been running on the second highest AI-difficulty, but suddenly after that event I was 15 seconds behind on all stages (while I was winning with a few seconds margins in the previous events). Weird!
Glad you like them. I agree those new added rallies, are made with a totally different philosophy from last year's stages.Quote:

Looks like the studio has finally captured the rally feeling.
If WRC3 has new stages for all countries like those, It will be by far the most challenging of the series.
I am sure the safari stages DLC (out on November 14th) will be at the same designing level.
Just unlocked the wild card entry to rally Greece. :pQuote:

The 'Road To The WRC' Is very nicely done this time.
The variety of cars/classes and events, combined with the mechanical updates , the hire of staff and sponsors deals give a realistic feeling,
starting from low and work hard to get to the world of the pros. Also the paints and patterns are more professional compared to the 1st game.
The addition of rally plates gives the career cars a very decent look.
I wish that livery editor was available In single race mode too, so to make the Group B and safari cars more good looking...

Another great thing noticed: By pressing F2 (In pc version) the rallies In career mode get longer, as more stages are added, for some longer pleasure!!!
Personally, It's the best career mode ever played In a rally game.
The same can be done in the PS3 version. It`s good to have the possibility in rallies that are fun. This livery editor, is it the same as purchasing different patterns and colours, or is this something specific for the PC-version?
Yes, that's the one. Just hope It was possible using It outside the carrer mode. :pQuote:

Has somebody had the similar problem, when the stage is loaded and u see the car on the startline and the game crashes? I installed it today, and I didn't drive any meter today yet :'(
I have it on PS3 and I was able to fix my problems by downloading a patch. What version do you have? Until I fixed the problem it was funny because on the Sweden SSS I was racing against Loeb and my car and his combined so I had a Mini-DS3 to race around the track!!!
Already installed the patch, and still same problem. For me it's on PC, and yes my computer is compatible for the game :)
:(
Hmmmm, are you on winxp or win7......?
I've fixed it I need to change the Hz of my audio system on this computer. Btw the sounds of the cars are horrible, that Fiesta has like a screaming kit car or something :s
I can't believe that these guys got the contract for so long. The 2010 edition had its problems but this is getting silly. For instance, in the Academy careers mode I start the French rally with Pirelli tyres on my Fiesta and end with Michilins. Sometimes to proceed from one screen to the next you sometimes have to press X twice. I don't understand what has gone wrong here???
Not to mention software gremlins.
I played this at Rally GB and to be honest if the co-driver wasnt so bad, and basic things like the Great Orme being gravel were fixed id probably buy it at a slightly reduced price!
I tend to use the female co-driver. She doesn't sound like a freaky robot! I think these mistakes and lack of detailing on the cars kind of kills the fun a bit.Quote:

I just got this, its actually quite good. Blackbean has done well!Quote:

Aren't there any Mods for these games especially other liveries??
Hilarious, I bought this game yesterday (£15 brand new!) and the sound effects are so bad my mum mocked them as she walked past my room!! I thought the effects in Moto GP 09/10 were bad but this is the new winner.
The game play is just about passable for a casual blast, but the pace notes are a joke and massively inconsistent while being called far too late.
Still it might keep me entertained for a little bit and its a bit of a break from Forza 4!
Thats exactly what I did with Wrc 2010, waited til it had been knocked down in price :)Quote:

You have Juha Kankunnen in this game? I forget where it is found in 2010 can you remind me? This seems very unfamiliar to me!Quote:

I don't recall the PS2 games having this many problems.
No Juha Kankunnen, it just says there is on the loading screen, then when it loads up, youre actually competing against Gronholm! I'll load the game up and take some pictures:-)Quote:

that's cool I've seen that too. No worries I get you now. I think that the developers tried to do too much with this game. I.e. in 2011, the championship does not have enough different stages and those mini-championships in career mode are just a distraction as you do all those rallies eventually anyway. If you follow me??
I'm glad its not just me that saw that :DQuote:

Just out of interest, which version do you play? Xbox, Ps or Windows?
Can you get the group b cars in the 2011 game? I'd probably buy it just for that :)
I play Ps3 version and yes you can get the group b cars but they are bloody difficult to control also due to restrictive legislation the tobacco/alcohol liveries of some of our favorite cars has been altered unfortunately.
I don't think there needs to be any "competitions" at all just the championships for Academy, Production, SWRC, WRC. it seems a waste of time to have all these meta competitions designed to improve your driving when you can just adjust the difficulty settings.
I only bought the game so I could use the Mini (sad that there was no Mini 1.6T).
How much memory space does this game take up on PS3?
I'm now playing Colin McRae 3 again, much more fun with a way older game! More difficult plus some effects there are missing in a much newer game! Like a broken wheel, or flat tire.. Great Pacenotes, Japan who's very difficult but very amusing!
i recently got the game and gotta say its not too bad i quite enjoy the online aspects and uploading photos is quite nice .
What is the level of competition like online? What is the most competitive car on there?
Really agreed with this!Quote:

WRC game to Codemasters next year please :)
Like the first one, this game was a huge disappointment
Black Bean have the license for 1 more WRC game. 2013 things may change.
Hello everyone!
