I received the following information from the Athens airport:
"Regarding your inquiry, kindly be advised that until now no information has been relay to us if at 15th of June 2011 there is going to be or not an Air Traffic Controllers strike, which may affect departure/arrival flights. For any further information, you may either contact the airline you travel with, or you may contact our department 24hrs before the schedule time of your departure, Terminal Services: 0030 210 3530000, e-mail: [email:mvkiac2m]airport_info@aia.gr[/email:mvkiac2m]."
Airlines won't want to make any decisions until the last possible moment, as it will cost them money to cancel a flight and they won't want to do that if there is a chance that it will fly after all. So I imagine that it won't be until Tuesday that you'd get an email from them.
My problem is that I fly to London on Tuesday evening which is on a seperate booking to my main flights to Greece, so I could be stuck there depending on what happens. Though I imagine that I will get as far as Geneva before any delays would start, and it's preferable to be as close as possible so they can start flying again as soon as they can.
Of course, we could all be worrying for nothing if the strike doesn't go ahead, which is what I'm hoping for. Or, like I said previously, I don't mind a delay as long as it means still arriving on Wednesday at some point.

Acropolis Rally, 16-19 June 2011 - Weather you just select a ss and you have 5 day prediction
it rained on most of the stages yesterday and made things interesting in some places :)
Hopefully it will heat up properly now and the event will be dry and dusty as usual...
hmmmm.... it might not...the temperatures do not help so far...i wouldn't mind if the dust goes on vacation this year to be honest but i would like a warm sunny weather.

Is there a booklet or magazin or something for sale with the stages printed like the access maps at the website of the rally or shall I print them at home? ;)
print them at home to be sure....i do not think they will publish anything.
Anyone have a location of a big supermarket in Loutraki or Corinth? I will need to buy crisps and biscuits to keep me going on the long road sections ;)
Ok, thank you!

Thanks guys, most helpful ;) I must have missed them last time when I was living in my tent
If you enter any place with even remote signs of civilization you will find them do not worry..in Greece 1 every 3 businesses has to do with food or drink of some kind
Maybe that's a sign I was driving too quickly :s
Don't be too concerned NOT I worry more about food than rallying or airport strikes
Today is a national religious holiday (holy spirit day so nobody went to work in the whole country, apart from myself :) ) so tommorow we are going to have news if the strike of the air traffic control workers is going to be total or partial or if the court judges that the strike is illegal in which case it will not go ahead.....
Joost found this on twitter: Twitter
I looked the guy up on Linkedin and he seems to be a journalist for enet.gr , looks like quite a reliable source to me..lets hope he's right.
the news site he works is very reliable and among the biggest in Greece so i guess he would not say something like that without solid info...enjoy your flights everyone :)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and forecast says 35C and sunny on Saturday at least. Life is turning good again :D
Just need to start packing I guess :s
35 is a bit optimistic i would say...expect something at around 25-30 maximum especially on high altitude stages and if you plan to sleep in a tent bring a warm blanket....night temperatures are around 10C.
Last weekend we were getting a high of 7C near here.... 15 would be a good day so anything more I will be going crazy :hot:
