That doesn't make sense as hatchbacks usually have worse aerodynamics, unless its the way Subaru set it up?Quote:

He says that he's happy with the progress - and mentioned that Phil had commented that it has been a long while since he has seen Petter smile that much on testing. A good sign!
When I was at Rally Sweden I was talking to someone (sorry can't name them for obvious reasons) very important in SWRT and his comments were basically along the line of: here we go again, we have just got the 06 right and now we have to start on the 07. It was more of how he said it rather than what he said that left me with impression that testing on the 07 model hasn't been good at all up to Rally Sweden.
Another team member (less in the know) basically said we just have to get through 07 and wait for the totally new 08 car before we start kicking arse.
For the sake of Subaru and the sport lets hope they have made some huge advancements in Spain.
Cheers

Not a good sign of the state of the team. Two different stories about the same topic.Quote:

It's funny that team member thinks "they got the 06 car right" because as a SWRT fan, I thought the 06 car got better but was never right til very end :D Hopefully the team won't get satisfied by finishing behind 2 Ford and 2 Citroen in every rally ;)Quote:

Nah, Petter will beats all Fords and probably also Loeb in Mexico. Mark my words.Quote:

My video here : http://planetemarcus.free.fr/essaisterreespagne07.htm
Very good video
thanks
I always enjoy your videos but I am very impressed by that one - Focus WRC seems to be the car of the car of the moment, if the Mexican roads are similar Ford will ahev a good result.Quote:

Mitsubishi will test in Algarve (portugal) this week.
Duval will be on tests this weekend (Sat & Sun) on Spain.
Anybody knows in which part of Spain? :)
Yesterday and the day before yesterday Citroen was testing in north Sardinia (Luogosanto) with Loeb the 1st day and Sordo the 2nd one.
They were looking for sun and dry conditions, like they will find in Portugal and then in May here itself in Sardinia, but they were not at all lucky.
They found a real storm, totally unsual for Sardinia, with heavy rain and even a bit of snow, so that Elena told: <<We went here to test for Portugal, Sardinia and Greece but we are testing for Wales!>>
But this wasn't the main problem. It was the engine problem Sordo had yesterday. He had to stop at 12 am and he was bale to re-start at 3 pm but he drove only for 300m and then he came back with further engine problems.
Obviously nobody of the spectators knows what happened to the engine of its C4 but they could notice this long stop and the further stop after 3 hours of work.
I wasn't there personally as I live 120 km far from the tests and I was busy with university but there was my cousin who refferred me what happened.
Thanks Davide78 for these news !
Is there any photos or video of these tests ?
You're welcome!
It's a pleasure for me to share all the info I can have.
Unfortunately my cousin didn't have a camera with him, so he couldn't take photos.
But I sent a mail to a rally fan who is often at the WRC Teams tests. I'm waiting for his answer...hoping he was there too!
any tests? Citroen seems to be in tests these days...
Oh yes!
After having tested in the north of Sardinia some weeks ago, last week Citroen was in the centre of the island with both the drivers, Loeb and Sordo. Unfortunately they were 200 km far from me and I had no time to go there....
I couldn't go to Subaru tests too...they were nearer, 100 km far from me, but, as written above, I was busy and I could go to see Petter....
This year there are a lot of tests here in Sardinia but unfortunately I'm too busy to enjoy them and also not lucky with photos or videos as the persons I know that were enjoying tests don't like to take photos or videos....they prefer to enjoy the tests show.
Any photos from tests? Gronholm was testing yeasterday and today...
Yesterday I finally had time to go to Subaru tests, in the north of Sardinia.
You can find photos of them at the page
http://fotoalbum2.aruba.it/fotoalbum..._it/index.html
There were Atkinson and Hagstrom testing. As you can see from the photos, the car looked very linear in its handling, even if the drivers were pushing hard.
About Ford, it's not in Sardinia at the moment.
Very probably it will come here in the very next future.
Who was sitting in with Atko?Quote:

I didn't see the face of Atkinson co-driver as when they ended the tests and went out of the car I was taking a photo to the Australian driver, but I heard that there was Stephane Prevot.
However, not having seen him personally I can't confirm this!!
I can just report what I heard by some other guys that were at the tests.
I can confirm!
I received a photo taken during the tests held here in Sardinia 3 days ago and Atkinson co-driver was Stephane Prevot.
I can also confirm that Ford was here in the north of Sardinia last weekend testing with Gronholm.
They had very long runs, even 45 minutes long. I simply have this info and not photos or videos as I couldn't go where they were testing.
following the news in WRC.com, does anyone has more info or even some pics of the SX4 testing?? it would be very very interesting to know a little bit more, supose it was top secret! LOL
Driver was Sebastian Lindholm.Quote:
