BTC Racing intend to be out in 2008 with either two brand new Lexus IS220s. Or if Chris Stockton gets his way, two BMW's. Chris will continue to lead the team and will be joined by a new driver in the second car.
Motorbase Performance have announced that they are planning to upgrade to a pair of SEAT Leons (ex-2006 BTCC) for 2008.
Rick Kerry is hoping to return next year in the BMW 120d that he and his team AFM Racing with the help of West Suffolk Racing have been developing during the year.
SEAT have pretty much confirmed they will continue as a works team into 2008, and are considering switching to diesel.
Xero Competition are also looking to return, working on a pair of new shape Lexus IS200s for next years championship.
Martyn Bell is hoping to upgrade to BMW 320sis for next season, running a pair of cars for himself and Kelvin Burt.
A-Tech Racing plan to continue with their current pair of Alfa Romeo 156s in 2008. David Pinkney will continue to drive but Richard Marsh will stand-down making an opening for a new driver in the second car.
Robertshaw racing will enter the BTCC with at least one Honda Integra for 2008. They currently own the ex-Simon Blanckley car and have shown interest in the only other Integra for sale.
The last avaliable Dynamics Integra has been sold recently to take part in the 2008 Championship!
GR Asia is looking at doing a full season with their Seat Leons.
Akas Racing is expecting to continue with the Astra SportHatch. But Erkut has expressed the need for a team-mate to join him in a second car.
James Kaye has been linked with a return to the Championship in an undisclosed car and team.
Rumors continue about a third manufacturer entry.
