Thats a fair point you've made there. Seat have proved with the rising sales of the Leon that the BTCC is a great advert for your car.

I did always think the original shape Focus saloon was an ideal base for a touring car. Great chassis with a very tunable zetec engine, with the right backing (like most cars I know) it could have been right up there.

I don't there is a new Ford Focus saloon version is there? I know there was one of the pre-06 Focus, but the new car doesn't seem to have a Saloon version.

the saloon focus is still around but it is more exclusive than a 7 series BMW and thats a fact!

That saloon Focus does look very nice, wouldn't mind that as a touring car.

Even though its a 4door saloon and not a hatch its still a Focus. So would Ford want to promote a Focus in the BTCC and WRC? Thats the reason they pulled out in 2000, because the BTCC-spec rules favoured smaller cars.

Was under the impression that the Focus is due a change fairly soon?

So would it be worth using it?
