Another totally dominant weekend from JK. It's actually getting quite boring now and it's really not doing World RX as a whole any favours. The Hansen's cant get near him and the rest are even further away. Even Loeb cant do anything and is hobbled by the Delta Evo-e not being as sorted as the VW.
But on a more positive note, what about the brilliant victory of Patrick O'Donovan in Euro RX1 Supercars !? A quite incredible event for the 19yo British driver, going from 19th in the heats, to scraping into the SF, then onto back of the grid in the Final, to winning the Final ! And in the most slippery muddy wet conditions. A true coming of age of this future star.
THIS! I was so excited watching it. I got angry cuz he was losing time behind Linnerud and didnt jokerd (?) but then he passed him on track and we saw everybody slowing down in fights all over the track. Amazing win, man! SO happy for him. Saddly theres no EuroRX in Lydden Hill but some European teams are entering the BritishRX round that will happen together with the WorldRX. Both Pat and Dad, Munnich, Mandie, the two IrishRX leaders, Hoy will race with Vitols' C4 too... its going to be interesting. Hoping to see Doran there.Quote:

No RX1e cars for Estering too. Thats 3 rounds already. Next theres only South Africa and Hong Kong races, which Im already questioning if they are really going to happen.
Im Super sad for Chicherit and his team but this is making these electric cars look worst and worst. Its really hard to find a positive fan right now (on the internet)... And this is also making people stop paying attention to euroRX, which has been super good in 2023. I dont know.
I guess this is just not working. The promoter is seeing that they arent going anywhere with this product. Im fine with the evs but most of fans are not. And theres no "Younger fans" reeeaaally coming in and getting hooked with these evs... Idk. With only 15+/- of almost 50 RX LITES cars being used, nowadays (mostly in RallyX and NitroRX) OMSE is launching the FC2 project. This will upgrade/convert the LITES cars into Supercars. 150k euros is preeetty cheap for a supercar so let hope to see more cars racing in Europe and in America starting in 2024. Saw on facebook that French and British series are also willing to allow these cars. Im curious to see

I imagine they will eventually move to the RallyX format, where theres the WRX Final (where guys like Baumanis, Anton and Odonovan can eventually get to that final on the ICE cars against EVs) and then an RX-AM final, with the 6 best ICE cars. Then you can choose if you want to do WRX or RX-AM final, like in RallyX. I think its an interesting concept. That way will not have the ICE drivers complaining that VW is still building unbeatable cars haha.
The weird part is that the promoter said theres going to be a maximum of 16 entries for each round, with the partial time entries being decided before the rounds.
They are also changing the format again. The heat races are not against the clock anymore (to avoid "rain" changing the results during the weekend)
That sounds like this year's division to World RX and Euro RX like this year, but with extra step. Sounds good for regional championship, not for world championship.

Last year was financially bad for them PLUS the "uncertain in the championship as a whole" made the board decide to not run WorldRX in 2024. EuroRX is also out, even with the rumors of Sverre coming back full time.

At this point I just wish EuroRX could fall in the hands of Andreas Erikkson and/or MaxPucher, cuz they do (and did) a really great job with RallyX and TitansRX.
