Mihail Sholohov - Tikhiy Don- And Quiet flows the Don. It's a shame I didn't read it but I know it's a movie based on it and made the connection.Quote:

I don't know. I owned a book by Sholohov called "Virgin Soil Upturned", never read it cos I associated it with the communist literature. Threw it away last summer when I cleaned the house.Quote:

You didn't get the extra points ---the other GEOGRAPHIC related book title was "The Don flows on the the SEA" but don't feel bad...Almost nobody under 50 in "the West" remembers anything....
