Well, in Italy Ucci had to battle with its FIAT againt a Clio S1600 at first (I think it was Brocoli).Quote:

Yes...lets wait and see. Compared to N4 cars its looking good at first outing, especially in these conditions.Quote:

Haco i d like to measure meganeN4 outside France with an also good driver in a evo10/9 or sti n16.Today in France the drivers with evo9 and subis are no near in level as Guigu.Factory car against privateers with not good drivers are not going to show us the right results.
It-s just the first rally . Remember you comments in a month or two , and then see it the comments are still okay . People at Renault Sport are geniuses , they didn't make a single rally car in recent history which failed in any view , performance or sales . I agree , it's probably very boring , but it for sure won't be slow ;)
the point is if a megane can be competitive against a traditional n4 evo-sti.All local championships have rallies with some snow, some mud, some rain, some dirty/slippery roads. If you were a driver will you choose a megane against a 4wd if your aims are at championship title in your class?
Of course renault-sport is a legend in rallies and all their cars were excellent against competition. But 2wd against 4wd in difficult conditions needs a miracle nowadays.
lets wait to see megan against a proper evo-sti with a good driver in some months and we will see.I just was waiting more against ds3/clios at Touquet
The megane was made more like a promotion of the road car rather than serious competition.....the fact they gave it to their advertisment driver shows that. None will risk buying this car outside of France, it is obvious and that hard to understand even if you started watch rallying 10 minutes ago.
What did you expect?! It's a 2WD car, it's handicapped from the beginning, would you expect Renault to come in with a 2WD car and beat all Evos and Impreza which haven't had competition in their class all those years?! I hope this is just a way for Renault to gather data for a possible WRC programme.
One is sold in Germany, that is outside of France ;)
Give the car a chance. If it's cheaper and faster than the Clio R3, some will be happy with it. If one day an R4 will come (4x4 or not), it will be even faster.
I read in an interview with Quensel that Citroen plans building an R4 as well, what would he have meant with that?
Whatever car is I like rally.. :D
Yes , the fact that we already have them in 3 different countries even before it started a rally proves your point ;)Quote:
