I really hope something is sorted out by the time i get back from Speedweeks !
just phoned sky to cancel sky sports as i got it (mainly) for the motorsport but with nascar gone, no a1gp, no world motorsport and irl being a predominantly road course series(which frankly is no better than f1 which i can get for free on the bbc).
the operator was stunned to know that they hadn't got nascar as he also watches it but sky's brass( as normal) seem to be slow in filtering information to their phone staff.(he is probably on the phone now to find out if it's true).
if espn do get it, it's still unlikely that i'll subscribe as they have little other motorsport.
Just found this link.Ive signed it so if we want live Nascar on uk tv this year, then lets get as many signitures as possible.

I cancelled Sky Sports straight after the NASCAR season finalle, with a view to re-subscribing if they got NASCAR back, as they havnt I won't be re-subscribing, I like IRL but its impossible to justify the cost for IRL only.Quote:

With less than 2 weeks to the bud shootout things are certainly not thappening. The link below is for a petition on facebook. The more people that sign then maybe someone will take notice of our pleas.http://www.facebook.com/groups.php?r...d=271622831769
at least one year the deal wasn't announced till a couple of days before the first race- so there is still timeQuote:

I would be happy if someone did like I think Eurosport did a while back - show live, and then just jump on board a single camera or car during the US ad breaks - no need for a studio, commentators, staff, nothing. Costs the price of broadcasting plus flog a few Brit ads for the UK ad breaks. Seems simple really.
Got this earlier today
