There was no hard ice today, lots of loose snow though. Grip doesn't come from studs only but rubber too. If the rubber is worn, then much less grip. That could be the explanation.

yes but we dont know how worn they were for each driver.Vw will not preserve tyres for Mikkelsen and spoil tyres for Ogier.It doesn t make sense,as simple as that.

I think all tyres are marked, and Ogier not allow use Mikkelsen tyres.

ofcoyrse.Each tyre has its bar code number.Before the rally all 28 tyres are scanned the barcodes,and they are checking them through the rally.So you can t use tyres from other driver,or a driver he has retired.

Citroen did that on numerous occasions for Mr. Loeb. Is that the whole problem VW to play some tactics? Because Ogier just "can't" be better than Loeb? :D

Ogier's only ambition in 2012 with S2000 was to prepare a car for his team, so he will smash all the competition next year. I don't think a victory in S2000 would satisfy him enough, moreover - a given one. He is not Loeb.

I didn't said anywhere Ogier had "new" tyres. Just Mikkelsen used his old to save his "new". May be Ogier was just "better" of saving tyres :confused:

EDIT: In fact I think if he had lost over a minute on last stage, he still would win and be happy about it. No reputation is harmed in any way I believe :D

not this is YOUR conclusion.I said that Ogier is best driver,and that tactics doesn t minimise his capabilities AT ALL.Take your pills and calm down.

Giving Craig Breen a mention on his WRC car debut... no accidents and had trouble with a misfire, so not a bad start.

Hope he can take it to the finish and gain some priceless experience..
