I suppose really the criterion of "What is a country?" is whether it is a UN member.
I knew Tibet and Turks and Caicos were not officially independent nations, but put them in just in case.
Same goes for the two countries beginning with THE
Sadly I got them all except Timor Leste, because my mind has it as East Timor. Otherwise I was there.

Africa - Nile
Asia - Yangtze
South America - Amazon
Just dicovered I don't know any river in N. America -shame!!!!!!
Oceania and Antarctica - have no clue
As for North America my guess is the Mississippi river.
