EDIT: Btw, anyone know if the Rally Sweden organizers are planning to give Mikkelsen a wildcard for SWRC too?
Mikkelsen is from Norway and only local Swedish drivers can get a wild card for SWRC or PWRC.
Ok, didn't know whether there was actually a rule that prevented this or whether it was up to the organizer to whom to give a wildcard. Of course I understand that locals are preferred, or that is the "spirit" of the rule, but seeing as there are no other S2000 cars eligible for the wildcard entry with Swedish drivers I was just wondering...Quote:

Quick question - it's completely flown out of my head! Is Superrally cancelled this year, or can it still be used?
I forgot about it until Ricardo's post..
when I last red the regulations then it was still on.Quote:

Thanks.
This image doesn't look like photoshop, probably new DS3 WRC:

Looks much nicer than the original one shown to me. Looks like a C4 that's been shrunk.
:)
Looks awesome, and im pretty sure it's going to be fast too.
I've been wondering, a 1.6T may not be as slow as he think, I actually think the difference to actual WRC cars is going to be minimal or irrecognasible to human eyes.
Yep it looks like heavy pressure has been applied to a C4 to create a squashed version. Especially with the spoiler. Doesn't look disimilar to a current WRC which is good.Quote:

Maybe it is this one: http://www.s2000rally.com/car-detail.php?car=237
At least it is closest ! :p
Sääv is a fast driver(49 years old). He has been swedish champion in 2005 in the 2WD class with an VW Golf Kitcar.Quote:

It will be his own private team that will run the car.
He has no idea where his speed is compared to the others in S2000-cars, but he says that he will go for it, but his main goal is not the WRC-rally but the legs that counts in the Swedish championship.
You'r right.Quote:

What's with this rumour (already of an older date) that Basso might switch to Skoda?

Yes, he will do the italian championship on a Fabia S2000 from Skoda Italia, in the same team of Piero Longhi.Quote:

Same Citroen Livery for 2010 I guess.....
Tommi Mäkinen wants to bring his Tommi Mäkinen Racing Team to WRC in 2011, Mäkinen himself being the team boss.
"Mäkinen feels that regulation changes from 2011 onwards makes it possible for his team to participate at WRC level.
- WRC interests me a lot. It's been a goal for us that we've thought a lot and also discussed a lot."
Mäkinen's interview was published in the latest VM magazine. My copy is at home, I hope, so I can't tell more, but it surely sounds interesting. Mäkinen is involved with GrN Subaru's which would fit PWRC, but his comment on the regulation changes makes me hope for something more.

This is just what I hoped would start happning with the new regs. Privateer teams buying a few cars and being able to run them themselves and fight for top honours. Very good news.Quote:
