Vegas race is on my birthday lol !! I'd like to do California and Vegas next year but our oldest moves up to Secondary school in Sept.. one week out of school is ok but 2 will be pushing it i think... probably just do Vegas then do Charlotte later in the year.

I dont know if we will be at Rockingham, didnt go at all last year, Barry was quite ill for most of the year (problems with his joints and a large cyst on his thyroid) and he couldnt really stay out in the cold for long.

bugger- oh well, I guess I'll have to get ESPN if that's where it goes- if not then my interest in NASCAR will probably fade away- am not watching on the computer

ESPN is the best bet- they show alot of US sports already so it ties in- looks like Sky is still showing IndyCar this year. as for Eurosport- they show alot of motorsport- Moto GP, Superbikes, WTCC- but I don't see them showing NASCAR

Yeah, I think Sky tend to go more with UK driver interest rather than general sporting interest when it comes to thier motorsport coverage, after all, thats why they signed up NASCAR in the first place, because Dario Franchitti was signed to Ganassi, as we now know that didnt pan out but I think Sky did get a loyal regular audience for NASCAR. But in the face of "ball games" which tend to attract a bigger, shall we say less knowledgeable, more "casual" audience which gets Sky more advertising revenue combined with a lack of UK interest its hardly a surprise that Sky dropped NASCAR, plus it does take up a big chunk of time on Sunday evening prime time.

Well i dont think he will ever be better better... he has got 2 or 3 types of arthritus (still being investigated).. most days he is ok .. pain there but manageable, some days its quite bad.. its cos he is old lol !!

I will take pictures for you... but he wont be in Victory lane... got some fab ones of him on the wrecker in last years race lol !!.

My son wants to meet Danica so i'm sure we will be taking lots of pics of her..

Has facebook reached the welsh valleys yet??

Back on topic.. i will email espn.. and i shall be cancelling sky sports as soon as its definatly confirmed they havent got nascar... i see its on Jayski today.

Well at least theres a glimer of hope there.

Being a naturaly pessimistic (some would say grumpy lol) person,i'm assuming there will be no coverage here this season at least.
So realistically what are the options and can anyone offer help/advice.
Ive been thinking:
1 Online streams- but seem to think thers a problem and broadcasters on sites like JTV have been closed down,i noticed towards end of last season a few disappeared when trying to watch nationwide races.If there are some ways to watch online please can someone p.m me please.

2. Is nascar still being broadcast in other european countries and,if so,can i buy a satellite dish to pick up these broadcasts? That sounds way too easy so i imagine it cant be done.

3. Maybe there is a really kind american who would record onto dvd all the weekends races and post to me by some express delivery all the race action for a reasonable fee.I guess by avoiding nascar.com and cancelling a few other subscriptions i can watch the races without knowing the winner in advance.

I'm lucky enough to be going to the cali and vegas races and really hope i can get something in place by bristol.I'll be devastated tho to miss speedweeks.

or download torrents, would be easier.
