nobody complained at today stages for spikes out of tyres.So used tyres(and not worn tyres) can t be so ''slow'' at just 7km.Mikkelsen was slower than Evans at this stage.Evans is 12th overall.
That Ogier/vw played tactics in NOT bad.It doesn t minimise Ogiers excellence.Always factories will play inside the rules for their good image,to protect their No1 driver and for plenty other reasons.

there is no factory team that will say ''we will play tactics'' But for their reasons will do at any cost.We ve see it plenty of times for decades.

because Ogier wanted,or vw do it to keep him calm.At fabia days we saw the same think with Ogier-Mikkelsen.Suddenly at last day Mikkelsen was slow again.Same team,same drivers,and without ''used'' tyres.Ogier 2 days was complaining about road position at every stage stop (without asking him something from journalists)while they were 2-3 positions near.At last day when Mikkelsen backed off,he didn t complained at all.

so Mikkelsen had used tyres,and their No1 driver with ''new'' ones with 2 long days more and unpredictable conditions? With 1-2-3 for vw and 15 sec gap you would ''spoil'' the new tyres at your No 1 driver,and preserne tyres for your No3 driver?As you can see it doesn t make sense at all. ;)

Seeing this, or the Ogier off's during Monte, copmpared to Bouffier crash at Letonia, really makes me think that VW have the world's fastest tank....

There was no hard ice today, lots of loose snow though. Grip doesn't come from studs only but rubber too. If the rubber is worn, then much less grip. That could be the explanation.

I think all tyres are marked, and Ogier not allow use Mikkelsen tyres.
